i mean da 1 out of BNO Sabak Bernam...
BNO is my hometown so i usually fish salt water fish loh....

Hi All Sifu,

I'm new here.
Juz wonder anyone caught big fish at TauFu pond recently? What bait u using to fish there?

Why just visitor? We here also just to share each other... Fishing hobby unlimited one...

We have friends here who used to go to kelong as well.. especially bottom fishing kakis.. but disadvantage fishing at kelong is that you just fishing there only... if fishing boat fish around your kelong then you might even have lower chances of getting fish... MuaHaHaHa...

Thats the reason why fishing kakis prefer to go on boat... and theres a lot of other technique of fishing can be practice on boat compared on kelong... you won't be jigging on kelong rite? MuaHaHaHa...

last time only use traditional hand fishing on fishing boat (coz my relatives all fishermen) when followed out 2 catch fish. so when free time on boat, use hand fishing loh....

used 2 catch kerapu, red snapper, + a lot more type lah!
no matter how big is da fish, once kena, all must come up coz da string i used is really thick! hehehe!

my records r.......( few tat i can remember lah~)
kerapu: 20kg++
red snapper: 10kg++
shark: 50kg++

other cannot remember liao loh.....

wow...... my heaviest also 1kg or 800 g. LOL ! nvm still young...

Thats considered good results edi... but for others who don't know the technique, please don't do this at home... you might be loosing your fingers... MuaHaHaHa...

i used to frequest BNO kelong last year but the catches are getting pooorer by the months.. reason because there are trawler boats coming to trawl around the kelong.. apa ikan also sapu already la.. heard that one of the trawler boat manage to hookup a super huge PAri.. i think about 100kg's one if not mistaken and in its mouth there are more than 10 snapped hooks stuck on it.. must be the kelong's "penghuni" hahah

about da kelong trawler, 4 sure is illegal traw already loh....
ya! tat giant stingraw was a big news tat time.
traw boat usually can get unpredictable fishy oh!
used 2 saw many weird fishes......but i alwiz wait 4 lobster only!

my cousin alwiz complain i steal his catch when his boat back from work.
(coz he is da 1 who allow me 2 keep watever i wanna eat )
all fresh from sea!

please give more details .. location .. time .. rules and regulations .. preferred type of baits (real or artificial) .. saltwater/freshwater
yes .. i am interested to hunt for monsters .. and i think my gears good enuff and wont jam up one laa .. hehehee

time : we are starting at 8am till 7pm (close) so meeting at puchong( yet to specify exact location in puchong yet) at 7am

baits, up to individual to be creative. usually used bait there would be bread. it really depends on luck tho. I heard people casting also can get.

fished at fish valley once b4 .. abit confused about where to fish and what can or cannot be used .. so got a bit pissed off .. hehehe
6th i should be ok since one of my trips cancelled due to not enuff ppl .. hahahahaa .. i think got another or maybe more might wanna try .. require your tips on what baits and setup though ..

the rules are clearly stated there at the hut when paying. there are a few ponds available there, catch and release and another is catch and bring back.

i am hoping i could ask my seniors in the fishing gang to come. that, they could guide you better on baits. Not so sure they wanna come or not since they just came back from deep sea fishing.

its ok .. if u willing to guide us roughly .. we can follow and try the place again

lol cuz this wan i started fishing because of a ko-kurikulum mini badge... havent started fishing yet... currently looking for places to fish.. then i found this thread... then hope all sifu can teach me.... cuz currently still in secondary skul.. scared cannot suit all sifu age range
