KK Attack update ...

latest update from boatman in KK
Boat Owner : Steven ... Boat captain : Mokthar (one of the most senior boatman in KK)
Fishing Dates : 8,9,10&11 Aug 2008 4D3N trip
Proposed airticket dates : 8th AUG 08(depart from KL) 12th AUG 08(depart from KK)
Price : rm4300 total for boat (10pax very comfy ... 12 pax acceptable)
this includes simple meals on boat, water and ICE
Other costs : rm1000
this includes transport from airport to jetty and return, fruits and soft drinks on board, weight sinkers
proposed fishing : bottom with some jigging during the day smile.gif

this leaves us with 1 extra nite to spend in KK to do whatever ..
hotels can be arranged ... roughly rm125-150 per room (twin sharing)

all the above costs have yet to include air ticket ...

please leave any comments or suggestions regarding this on forum ..

i will need to confirm the boat within the next 3 days ... so i will update the list again .. once u put your name there then i will collect FULL payment for boat from u guys .. hehehehe

average depth is 70-80m ... batu ladung max is #18 (750gms)
BWAN told me the current there nowhere near as fast as those in malacca straits ... so most of the time will be using #12-16 only ..
as for jigs .. u sendiri agak laa based on the above details given to me by BWAN .. i think 120-150gm oso enuff liau .. this one is I THINK laa ... dont take my word for it though .. hehehehe

in our KK case ... we are told #18 MAX liauu ... thats 750gm only

that should give u an indication of current flow strength .. thus lesser weight required to reach bottom
i bringing nothing more 200gm .. mostly will be 80-150gm stuff only

i think the main idea is to have a place of our own as sifoo B mentioned .. rather than being a subforum of another main site ..

if seriously thinking about sponsors and that kinda stuff .. then i suppose the sponsors would want keywords MALAYSIA and FISHING unless sponsors are not local laa .. same reason why MFN is the highest hit malaysian fishing site

new update .. boat does not have electrical socket for electric reels .. but batts can be arranged ..

u are right .. creating a new forum/site on its own is not ez at all .. u can only get new members who do internet searches
on the other hand ... being a subforum of a well known place such as LYN gets more members easily .. alot occasionally coming in and asking for info thus higher chance of getting hooked on this very expensive hobby .. hehehehe
but u are oso subjected to the rules & regulations of the main forum lor ..

eehh .. i am the one using ciplak equipment with ciplak this and that lehhh .. plus go out seafishing oso have to think about budget 10 times .. u think i so syok one mehh ???

but i dont have saltigaZ which is moe than enuff to kowtim all of my stuff plus change leftover sommo ... hehehe

yes ... KK dates are all confirmed ... unless not enuff ppl then susah laaa

boat is rm4300
other stuff is rm1000

total costs for fishing is rm5300 ... all breakdowns and explainations are in earlier postings .. both old and new thread oso got ..

air ticket has not been factored into the costing yet .. so tentatively air ticket will cost rm240 (MAS) .. that is if still got seats laa since promo started so long liauu ... only worried no seats then the costing will jump higher sommo ...

please confirm ASAP to make it easier for us to make all arrangements ..

for 4D3N fishing .. rm530 (based on 10pax) is not bad what .. .cannot kira airfare la since we go jarak oso got travelling costs .. go jarak sometimes SPK oso maybe cost more than that liauu .. hehehe
sommo this one anytime pitcha kotak ais one ... and whole group of us going which makes it more FUN !!!
