bercinta pulak diorang.........

anyway, i think i understand a bit about the distribution thingy.

what i do is, i only practice bought the units after distribution.

if i bought before, i never knew on which price mark will the distribution given out.

that's what im practice this year. i actually thought about this for a long time, but not in specific understandings. all i know is, it didn't give any so-called wealth but just to add more units and lowering the price per unit. that's all.

Distribution is just marketing gimmick to make the fund looks generating good return and cheaper.

It doesn't really add value to the current unitholders.

oh tuhan...mengapalah aku terus diseksa cry.gif

Buy BEFORE distribution:
Higher cost PER UNIT vs Higher market price PER UNIT
It's like, u buy a WHOLE 1kg cake, your buying cost is RM20, your selling price also RM20 (assuming zero sales charge)

Buy AFTER distribution:
Lower cost PER UNIT vs Lower market price PER UNIT
It's like, u buy a 1kg cake sliced into 10 pieces, your buying cost is RM2 per slice, your selling price is also RM2 per slice

Even you buy it before distribution, you'll be rewarded with additional units provided that you opt for reinvestment of the distribution. At the end of the day, buy before or after distribution won't matter much as the final equation is still balanced with similar values.

That's right, simple logic...

I also prefer to buy after distribution... up to us when we prefer to buy; and we can open new discussion whether better to buy just before or after distribution...

But don't to be like UTC simply say to client better sell next month because next month got distribution... no problem if he say next month stock market goes up, so up to client whether to believe or not... but say wait for distribution because distribution will increase wealth - this is so false and tipu client.

Buy BEFORE distribution: Get whole 1kg cake. After distribution (if u opt for reinvestment), they slice the cake into smaller pieces for u. They're not gonna add on some toppings or cherry for u during the "slicing" process. tongue.gif
Buy AFTER distribution: Get 10 slices of 100g cake.

Simple as that laugh.gif

cannot say gimmick too.........most of the funds objective is for capital gain and generate income, if any. so, distribuions is for income.

to make it cheaper, FM has option to split the units instead of distributions.

just sharing only.

Can anyone enlighten me on this. Normally when will bond fund will increase their NAV? Is it when market is good it will go up slower? Market bad go up faster? Or when will the NAV go down?

I am no financial background.. Home someone can teach me on this..
