AmMutual declares income distributionsAmMutual has declared income distributions totalling RM25.66 million for four of its funds, comprising bond and equity funds.
AmInvestment Bank in a statement here today said
AmDynamic Bond declared an interim income distribution of
two sen for its financial year, recording a growth of 11.8 per cent for the past year and almost doubling its benchmark of six per cent.
Over the last five years, the fund has consistently outperformed its benchmark with a total return of 51.8 per cent, against the benchmark of 23.6 per cent.
It was also the top performing bond fund over three-year and five-year periods ending Dec 31, 2011 at The Edge-Lipper Malaysia Fund Awards 2012.
This is the sixth year in a row that AmDynamic Bond has received the award for the three-year performance category, while it has won the award for the five-year performance category for four years in a row.
Since inception in 2003, the fund has produced returns of 113.6 per cent, which translates to returns of 9.4 percent annually.
Meanwhile, AmBond’s total income distribution for the year of three sen (inclusive of the above income distribution of 1.5 sen) represents a yield of 2.6 per cent.
AmBond is best suited for investors who require regular income and have medium to long-term investment goals. Its total growth over five years was 29.6 per cent, surpassing its benchmark of 23 percent by 6.6 per cent.
AmConstant Multi Maturity, a five-year close-ended bond fund, declared its first income distribution of four sen per unit, which represents a yield of four per cent per annum based on the Initial Offer Price of RM1 per unit, exceeding its benchmark of 2.85 per cent.
It aims to provide regular income from three investment portfolios comprising local and/or foreign bonds with varying maturity profiles.
Another fund, AmTotal Return, has declared income distribution for the year of two sen per unit, which represents a yield of 2.78 per cent.
The fund, which is a medium to long-term investment, has produced double-digit one-year returns amounting to 11.9 per cent, outperforming its benchmark of six per cent. -- Bernama
