Tomorrow i will terminated my celcom broadband D98 after use it almost 6month. The termination is due to many factor, that is:

1. Changing from living in resident college to own house, so that can apply streamyx (yup, no other choice but for me its better than Celcom broadband)
2. Celcom broadband problem itself the line is not so stable and always DC and always changing signal from HSDPA to 3G. Yup 3G signal is suck to the max. The problem occur because lot of people here sign up for celcom broadband due to better speed than Universities Wifi.
3. Hate with Celcom broadband idea of sharing IP in one area (read: not dynamic IP). Its made me can not download thru Rapidshare or other that capped thru IP.
4. My housing area only coverage with normal 3G line (not up to my requirement)

Beside that, I would to thanks to Celcom Broadband because provide a so-so service but atleast alot better than my universities wifi (read: paid wifi not free one)

One advice to me if u want to Bittorrent or online gaming, streamyx is lot better but if u want mobility and so-so internet, I think Celcom broadband is the way.

Thanks and good night.

My last tonight speed smile.gif with Celcom broadband.

Well achieving this kind of speed is already good enough for Celcom Broadband but yea if you are able to get Streamyx then go for it since it is definitely more stable than Celcom Broadband.

One thing good about celcom is the non existence of any contract. Hence you can quit at any time without paying any penalty fees unlike maxis.

Streamyx is no doubt the better choice if you don't mind your broadband being unmobile. nod.gif

I'm 99% sure that my line won't be fixed by today. Based on my line, the improvement is unnoticeable, how much can it do in one day?

Get ready to call them later. What time is the best time to call them? Can anyone tell me? smile.gif If possible, they send a technician to my place is the best. biggrin.gif

Yup quite fast but i think although my streamyx is only 1Mbps package compare to my current Celcom broadband. I felt more stable and fast connection.

Yup no contract but Streamyx advantage is provide better service. Hmm my currently job not need me to be so mobile and also if use D98 not alot area support HSDPA speed. If i always travelling in KL might be a different story but for me HSDPA coverage is still low.

My Streamyx can give me bittorent speed around 130-140kBps quite fast already (yup use VPN service).

I think you didn't get what I mean, never mind. By the way, Celcom people told me the upgrading service started on 30.04.08, only 10 days and not one month.

I can check my mail from gmail even though I'm on GPRS speed.
