9600 GSO still lose to 9600 GT cos it's just same like 8800 GS. Crysis playable at mid settings. COD4 can play full i think. So it's still a good card for budget people like me. Just that if get to softmod then become super duper keng card. Hahaha! Extra lottery. So I guess I'll buy this =P

That test was run by other BIOS. Like I said, I don't know how to read Mandrine... I didn't know they posted a BIOS there LOL
The driver is modded too. IIRC, that 8800GTS was done in driver version....

this time i use the bro davidletterboyz bios ....still got artical ...but can in window .......and all driver cant detect .....cant install driver ...it say no have nvidia gc .....

my pc : 2.666mhz + 667 mhz 1x2 gb 5-5-5-12....in same setting ....

gc setting 1 : 600/1500/1000 mark = 9470

gc setting 2 : 650/1650/1050 mark = 92xx

gc setting 3 : 660/1650/1050 mark 90xx .....



what happen with the gc ?? y i more oc the performance more drop .....

i think it depends on luck la. Some may work some may not. Unfair to judge adliew batch all won't work, he also trying to make sales only nia.

Haha...50% success...i guess it's true that these cards are buggy 8800GTSes la...cannot run at max so they close the faulty chips and resold as GSO. BTW the GSO can be overclocked to exceed the performance of 9600GT and MATCH a stock 8800GT performance. Don't believe me? Google the PoV 9600GSO review. The Galaxy GSO comes with huge cooler and an easy voltmod, so it's conceivable to OC it even higher than the PoV, which managed 666mhz core if you hav the patience. =)

8 and 9 series dont benefit from higher core speed, only shader. for stability purposes, keep shader at 2.6x or lower then core (from my experiments la)

u can lock the core and shader together right? Meaning to get higher shader speed, u need to increase core speed also ma...rite?

Added on June 2, 2008, 11:38 ambtw what about memory speed? any relation or bearing to the other speeds? Or just increase them to max 1000mhz? I read somewhere the 0.8ns memory chips of the Galaxy OC is rated for 1000mhz speeds, maybe lucky can go above that by a few %.

u can unlink the core/shader and use a calculator to calculate the values

its default at 1000mhz for the mems.....

0.8ns on these GSO oc version is being pumped 2.1v or 2.0v (cant remember, and lazy to poke AMM in now) which is slightly overvolted from specs according to samsung's data sheet attached below
