Any 3DMark result on the mod version?
*
check back a few pages back, ksking posted his 3dmark as well as game results

Added on June 2, 2008, 1:42 pmlatest results from Guru3D:

9600GSO 384 overclocked: 666/1655/2000
9600GT overclocked : 750/1800/2100

The GSO loses to 9600GT by 1 to 2 FPS up to resolution of 2560x1600(!) where it loses by 5 FPS. It's not a huge difference, and shows that the GSO is really a great performer after OC due to the extra shaders (96 vs 64). The 9600GT was oc'ed higher, had more bits (256 vs 196) but only manages to pull ahead slightly in real world gaming tests. =)

Different chip used.

Galaxy 96GSO and 8800GTS: G92- 400

8800GT: G92- 200 (I think)

9600GS lame, 8800GS: G92-150

I personally think that Galaxy paid Hardspell to put out this article while in reality you just can't flash it. Probably BS to sell their cards, as the 9600GSO isn't exactly popular.

I think the bullshit story has some truth in it la. Don forget ksking got his card to work. Its probably cos not all the cards can work...most probably they put in some moddable cards with the rest of the non-moddable (really buggy cut down 8800GTS cards) and let the consumer play lottery.

Erm...that's a bold statement. The original article is NOT from hardspell. It's from pchome.net....check the screenie watermarks.

And BTW....galaxy 9600GSO OC doesn't use G92-400. They use G92-150.

Looks like you are the one that is BS-ing here.

The third step, Mopan into the BIOS refresh, and refresh in the process do not shut down the computer, the software can not be carried out other operations, to avoid misuse of the software, may be updated BIOS failure. (VISTA users need to close parental controls, not refresh.)

vista users try close parental control(i have no idea what it is coz im not using vista) then try flash using the magic panel.maybe succesful flash will happen with galaxy own software blush.gif
just trying to help.BTW david where did you get your card?

the problem is that flash is successful, but the card artifacts upon boot, suggesting that the card cannot use the bios or that the unlocked memchips contained errors (the reason why they are locked in the first place). The parental control u refer to is called UAC or user access control, and most users have probably turned them off already becaue it's very annoying.
