wtf, u din ask the step by step to INSTALL GARMIN, tot u dunno how to use the transfer mode...zzz

btw, if you really had the time to furious and scold ppl around here, why don't you spend some time using the Search function for it.

My apologize for not having the info-sharing part updated, but even if the steps not in V2 first page, it still exist in V1 first page...u can still easily get it from V1...

Lastly, if u really unable to find the solution in lowyat forum, i think gOOgle still will be able to help..

Please do some searching before come to this thread and show ur frustration..

ok clsia, i already put the maps in the folder . ok then i try to press the view map it show "searching for satellites" and it show a blank screen ., the signal in the left shows one red bar and it is not full( is this ok?), the garmin i should use assist gps rite not the bluetooth gps rite.

how to use the maps, should i go to where to or view map ? .do i need to have credits (kredit masa bual sudah habis ) on my phone or else . and also i want to know what is a POI , ive downloaded some but it is in a gdb files, and i cannot transfer it to my garmin .. i try reading the malsingmaps guide but it is so complicated ( yup the newbies guide is also complicated, man im so newbiez ) . hope u can help me thank you

As prevention, u can create one folder name AutoRun.inf and one file MicrosoftPowerPoint.exe in ur memory card, set the attributes as hidden and read only to avoid any stupid autorun trojan infect ur memory card...

The signal need to be green in color then only can track ur location (GPS active)...the map is blank maybe u don't hav the map loaded/map detail not available @ ur last location...try zoom out..still black then ur map not loaded..do u put GMAPSUPP.IMG as the file name? What version of map u r using? Old map can use, but new map need unlock code one..POI is point of interest (Eg: location of free wifi, 7-eleven, speedtrap etc), u need download the .gpi version file for ur N82..gdb is not for Garmin...

yup i put it in the garmin folder ( in the memory card rite, not the phone memory card ) . suppose if i put it correctly then when i view the map it suppose to show up the map or i need to wait for the search satellite thingy then the map will show up or ? . btw im using the old map not the new map . and the gmapsupp.img size is small . is the map suppose to be 100 mb + ? .

no..it still will show ur last location even no location locked...ur's satellite still in red color? not change to green? try zoom out..is there any indicator like no map at right bottom corner?
old map should be 18MB++, new map is 25MB++...
100MB is the garmin folder + map...

wow still got so many people confuse bout garmin huh? just do some research from google then everything will be clear mah, or better yet go to malsingmap.com and post some questions there they r very helpful lot.

now i want to know how to use the POI ? . do i need to convert it to different files or else

no problem pal..glad to hear it work..the POI, again just put in ur Garmin/POI folder, then it will shows the POI in the map d...but not much use..it make ur map look messy...i din use POI also..just use search will do..haha

haha i got the 2.27 malsingsmap but somethings are still missing la like popular mamak store not included.

Personally I prefer Emtube. But Emtube not working whereas Mobitubia is working.

I use Emtube or Mobitubia to direct search and watch youtube videos without opening or scroll here and there in the browser. And some more it's faster loading.

Is there any possible way to do this :

Vibrating alert ON for incoming calls and vibrating alert OFF for incoming message? I dun like the phone to vibrate due to "incomng sms" but at the same time i want vibrating alert for "incoming calls" only

Another things is the Camera have timer countdown (example set 10 sec and the phone will capture image after 10sec). But the problem is hte N82 canot "STAND" to be placed stationary. Any idea how to place the phone stationary?

Use tape and tape it in place

1. Unfortunately.. there isnt a way to do that unless theres a 3rd party software/hack to do it.

2. Ive seen videos on youtube where this guy opens up the memory card compartment and pull the cover of the memory card facing outwards (camera's side) and place it on the table and it'll stand.. try it. it works for me
