How long does it take to take the bus from Sydney airport to Central Station? I used the below trip planner and it says that it takes almost and hour and I have to transfer buses at Botany Rd. Is that correct?

https://transportnsw.info/trip#/?wSpeed=4&w...332&to=10101100

I was hoping there will be a bus that goes directly to Central Station (my hostel is nearby). I heard Sydney Shuttle goes directly to Central Station but it cost almost the same as taking the train.

Sydney airport to Central Station take about 15min. But it cost you $18.

Alternative options if you are on a budget :-
1. Walk + train
Avoid the privately owned airport stations with a short walk to the neighbouring suburbs:

From T1 (International), walk 1.4km west along the Cooks River to Wolli Creek station: 13 minute train, $2.94-$3.20
From T2/T3 (Domestic), walk 1.5km north along O'Riordan St to Bourke Rd then to Mascot station: 8 minute train: $2.36-3.38

2. Bus + train (no walking)
Similar to #1, but if you aren't able to walk 1.5km you can catch a local bus to a nearby train station:

Route 400 eastbound (Destination 'Bondi Junction') - Alight at Mascot Station for a train to the city (8 minute train, $2.36-3.38). Bus is 5min/$2.10 (from Domestic) and 19min/$3.50 from International.
Route 400 westbound (Destination 'Burwood') - Alight at Rockdale Station for a train to the city (17 minute train, $2.94-4.20). Bus is 25min/$3.50 from Domestic and 12 min/$3.50 from International.

Thanks! Will there be announcement of the next station in the bus? Or do you have to look outside and guess like what we do here?

I'll be going to Sydney next week with AirAsia and I've already applied for my visa which is approved. When I try to check in using their app I get this message that says they're unable to provide me the boarding pass barcode and I have to go to the document check counter for visa verification purposes. Is this normal? Is there some document that I have to print and bring for verification?

Is Sydney Uber friendly? How's the rate there travel from point A to B in minimum.
Do you suggest renting a car or taking Uber.
My first visit to Sydney and we are travelling with 6 adults and 1 child.

Yes at the airport you would have to go an Air Asia to counter to verify. They wil request for your passport at thata time.

It is Uber friendly but damn expensive. But if shared still ok. Rental is a good idea if you are planning to travel out of Sydney. Parking around Sydney is VERYYYYYYYYY expensive. I've seen before 11 dollars per hour at those hot tourist spots.

Great I 'll be staying in Sydney Cbd so I think public transport is convenient? Not planning to travel out maybe will take day tour if needed. Will be there in Nov for 7 days.

Thanks for your inputs. Anything else that I needed to consider as am travelling with 2 years old boy.
