If you hv samsung pay or wave enabke cc, it will be much mote convenient in Australia. No need to bring cash in most restaurants & malls.

Infact I hardly use my cash in australia. I brought in A$1000 and used up only A$150 haha
*
Thanks for the info. Nice. Then don't need change so much cash then. Guess $200 is enough? LOL.

I'll be going to Sydney next week with AirAsia and I've already applied for my visa which is approved. When I try to check in using their app I get this message that says they're unable to provide me the boarding pass barcode and I have to go to the document check counter for visa verification purposes. Is this normal? Is there some document that I have to print and bring for verification?
*
Yes at the airport you would have to go an Air Asia to counter to verify. They wil request for your passport at thata time.

Is Sydney Uber friendly? How's the rate there travel from point A to B in minimum.
Do you suggest renting a car or taking Uber.
My first visit to Sydney and we are travelling with 6 adults and 1 child.
*
It is Uber friendly but damn expensive. But if shared still ok. Rental is a good idea if you are planning to travel out of Sydney. Parking around Sydney is VERYYYYYYYYY expensive. I've seen before 11 dollars per hour at those hot tourist spots.

Great I 'll be staying in Sydney Cbd so I think public transport is convenient? Not planning to travel out maybe will take day tour if needed. Will be there in Nov for 7 days.

Thanks for your inputs. Anything else that I needed to consider as am travelling with 2 years old boy.
*
Yes it's quite convenient to those tourist spots if you don't mind walking a bit. best to bring your stroller. Nov will be scorching hot. Be prepared lol. sunblock. loads of it.

Hi guys,
I'll be in Sydney for a few days and am looking for a sim card. How's the service for Telstra? I've used Optus for my last trip and it wasn't bad but I found a Telstra sim that is cheaper and better suits my need and am wondering if it's any better?
*
shouldn't be too bad since Telstra has it's own network.

Thanks for the link! Yeah I got opal in hand already!
Both. How about cabs there and the cost? Since there’s 5 of us plus luggage! Do I need to request bigger cab or something?
*
Cabs are really expensive. Yes you need a bigger cab. Or you can use Uber XL. Or U could also go to Klook to look for airport transfer vouchers. Sharing between 5 people should keep the cost down.
