Either side is fine mate, you will find the plane actually turns around to head towards Kingsford Smith Airport so you can get a good view of the beaches and the city either size. Just make sure you get a window seat. Also most Malaysia flights arrive early morning and the sun can be quite bright, wear shades!

Cheers,

stimix any wild life in Sydney where we can pet the Kangaroo and feed them? went to WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo last 2 years and didn't get chance to touch the kangaroo
*
Taronga Zoo is near the city. That's the usual favourite. Other than that there are wildlife parks outside where you can get up close and personal with kangaroos. Usually hotels have tours you can join.

hey all,

need your help. About the aussie visa application via ETA online (https://www.eta.immi.gov.au/ETAS3/etas), step 2, there's this part "issuing authority''. may i know what should i fill in? is it the place of passport issuance (in my case 'Shah Alam')?

i did it before, but i cant recall! =D

Can you share more on how this 2AUD prepaid sim work? Is there a minimum amount? Say I will be staying in Australia for 7 days, do I pay only 7x2=AUD14? Thank you.

Basically the minimum top up would be AUD10 so since you would be there for 7 days, just tell the sales person that you need a reload of AUD14 since you will be here for 7 days. The sim card cost AUD2 if not mistaken. Each day, Optus will automatically deduct AUD2 from your credit

wenzhenzhen can consider those one day tour if you don't *need* to drive. Pricing very reasonable one.

The day tour costs AUD100 - AUD150!! rclxub.gif I also think another alternative that is taking blue mountain line and stop at Katoomba station. Then, from Katoomba station will take a bus to blue mountain. Anyone tried that before?

Thank you

The best way to Blue Mountain will still be going by train via katoomba. At just outside the station, there is a tour shop which will sell you the blue mountain bus rides which includes some of the rides within the national park.

1. I will have to go back and look for it. It still have some credit left. You are also going to Melbourne right, do u need the myki card? If not mistaken, that you have to pay but I got it free from a friend which I can pass it on to you.

It would be too rush to do congee walk, manly and Watson Bay in one day for me personally cause I dont like to fit too many things in a day. I think you can skip Manly since you already going to do the Congee Walk as you will be passing by plenty of beautiful beaches along the way such as Bronte, Bondi, Tamarama, Congee, etc. I actually have not been to Watson Bay myself so cant advise much on the fish and chips You can always do Congee walk early in the morning cause that time it would be end of Spring so you will get longer day. Just make sure you keep yourself hydrated and stops for food along the way.

It is actually coogee rather than congee. Coogee watson bay n manly are located quite far apart. Really nothing much in manly if you ask me. But the ferry ride across the harbour is quite nice.

I used to stay in Clovelly for some 8 years in the 90s. Always love the walk and knows all the corners and special hideouts at Clovelly cliffs and those at Gordon bay.

South head at vaucluse is actually much nicer as you can actually see Pacific ocean on one side and sydney city on the other. There some ww2 war relics there. No tourist there 30 years ago and the last trip there last year seemed to remain so. Not sure if there are public transport there but easily get to by a rented car.

Best place to rent a car? Bayswater. Last trip it was still aud25 for a nice current model Toyota altis. Best in the last 30 years... haha

Personally, I think blue mountain is over-hyped. Really nothing much, you might want to google images before you decide to go there. Considering we come with a country with taller and better mountains… blue mountain is the most forgettable place I’ve ever visited in Australia.

Yes you can rent the car for one day.

Yes, your laminated driving license is usable. You don’t need international driving license or whatever.

For people who enjoys hiking and nature's walks blue mountain is quite nice. I have done titiwangsa and crockers range and seriously they do not come close. Perhaps weather is a factor.

I have done warrumbungle national park for 4d3n and it is one of the best places to observe the universe in southern hemisphere. Aussies national are definitely unforgettable. The only other really impressive park would be tibetan mountain and everest base camp.
