How many ppl in your travelling party? If there are three to four of you, just take a cab. I have always taken the train from the airport to the city. Below is the extract from the airport website - https://www.sydneyairport.com.au/parking-an...s-international

Sydney Buses operates a timetabled service, Route 400, between Bondi Junction and Burwood. The service stops at both the T1 International and T3 Domestic terminals. You will find clearly marked bus stops located on the arrivals level outside each of these terminals. You'll need an Opal transport card to use the service.

10 of us. We don't fancy paying the hefty $13.80 airport station access fee (=RM44) and wonder if it is possible to walk to the nearest train station, Mascot and thus save on paying $13.80. From google map, it looks like a 10-15 min walk.

Why don't you all just take cab? Although it is only 10-15mins walk, it will feel further if you all have luggages

Yes... this person is even cheaper than our local tour agent who is doing for people at RM30 per passport.

It's upto you to DIY at A$20 or use an agent at RM30 per passport

For me the best time to go is between September to early November which is Spring where the days are longer and without the summer and schools holiday crowd if you visit between December to January.
Sydney is generally expensive but usually it is said that the cheapest time to visit is during winter as it tend to rain a lot and the days are shorter. Hence, not very good for exploring the place if it is your first time there

Ah okay. What kind of price range for flight ticket I should expect? I've found 700+ to sydney via AA but my gf said that's already consider expensive. The dates I've found was between March and April. Need sifu guidance here if anyone willing to share their experience.

Many thanks! notworthy.gif

RM700+ plus for a return ticket is consider promo fair. That is the cheapest airfare you would get. Even MAS on promo is about 1.4k.
You are looking at visiting for how many days and Are you looking at just exploring around Sydney area only?

2) I used Optus for all of my Australia trips last year. AUD 2.00 per day but the SIM can only be reloaded by AUD 5.00 or AUD 10.00 blocks. So if you use for 6 days you still need to pay AUD 15.00. They are available at MEL and PER arrivals section (didn't arrive at SYD International terminal but I guess there is one outlet there too)
3) Power bank can only be carried in hand luggage.
