Its better you flash it to a more common firmware.
Nobody of us around have actually do research about firmwares other than GW, SG, and HK.
Like what I usually said, there's only 2 best options:
1. You need Chinese read & write - SG Firmware
2. You don't need Chinese read & write - GW1 firmware

That's all depend on yourself.
AP is 10** while Thorus is 16**.
The gap is kinda big.
Thorus and AP just warranty wise only.
Other than that, everything is just the same.

Nop I bought in a shop from Pragin Mall, Penang.
Reene is a good seller, many people gave good testi on her.
You can try get 1 from her too.

Human are like this.
They always want every features on their phone, yet they don't want to pay high price for it.
X1 is a totally different level phone with P1i.
X1 can be considered as luxury phone, as P1i is a budget phone.
X1 running on a WM6, stuffed with almost everything on that phone, I can actually imagine the price.
P1i is cheaper in term of price, but I don't think it will lose to some PDA phones in the market now.
I bought during mid January, the price is around RM13**.
When everybody tried on my phone, and I told them its RM13**, they were like don't believe me, at all.
For the price, with the features, its very very worth for a SE PDA phone.

Maybe its my own perception, but I really don't like to see this kinda question to be asked in the future in this particular thread.
This is a thread for "how do I function my P1i", its not a "P1i better or xyz better" thread.

For me P1i 3.2mp AF camera is a gem.

A normal college kid like me can't afford ori set.

Ok someone please stand out and clarify this.
Will our phone support .gif file format as our wallpaper?
I mean when assigned on wallpaper, the .gif is still moving.

I'm on SG firmware, and when I've assigned the only SE original .gif file that come with the phone on wallpaper, I only can see 3 orange dots only, and they're not moving at all.

Depend on your capability to adapt new things.
Its just like when you're on SE trying to move to Nokia only.
Some may take up to 1 month to adapt it, and some may only take few days.
I personally think the keypad is superb, and its the main reason I get this phone after M600i.

I also prefer driving BMW than a Kenari.

If you're not free, why are you asking for new release of firmware?

If you typo'ed, which mean you're really free, go try Indo firmware, and write us a report about that.

GW or SG lor.
Both got latest firmware, one with Chinese read and write, one without.

I don't think there's software like this for UIQ ... yet.

Most probably because of your wireless connection not stable, I think.
I'm using IM+(you-know-what version), so far so good.
No delay no anything. Recommended.

Its better you reformat your M2 if you wanted to insert it into a freshly-flashed phone.
Some of the applications that you installed in your M2 might ... MIGHT be causing your phone to get error or something like that.
My advice, keep all your .sis files as a backup, so that next time your phone screwed up, you still got some backup of the softwares to install.

As long as you can send and receive messages nicely, who care about the version, right?

No, changing CDA won't void warranty.
Try to update your Macromedia Flash 1 more time, see weather it works or not.
Oh, and reboot your pc.

Somehow the P1i is kinda scratch-proof, even thou the metal part looks kinda easy to be scratched.
And yes P1i does come with Quickoffice, which allows you to read/write Words, Excel, and Power Point files.
The price for AP set is some where RM10**, while Thorus(original) is like RM16**.

Problems a lot, solved problems more.
Its not a carrying pouch, its just soft pouch that protecting the phone only.
