QUOTE(steel2k2 @ May 10 2008, 05:31 PM) Let's say Paypal is 3.0 (from THIS seller)In PDair.com, it stated US$28.00, with free world wide shipping. So its 28x3 = RM84 I found the same thing Ebay.com(HERE), and its US$18.99 and US$6 for the postage, total is US$24.99. So, 24.99x3 = RM74.97 ≈ RM75 But, it we take the 2nd unit, the shipping fee would be US$5. Let's say we take 5 units, the cost would be something like this. (18.99x5)+6+(5x4) = 120.95 So each unit is like (120.95/5)x3.2 = RM72.57 ≈ RM73 I'm not so sure how to count the total in Ebay + shipping to Malaysia. Night a bit I'll confirm with my friend again, and let you all know. This post has been edited by Shufflerz: May 10 2008, 06:28 PM |

QUOTE(uhlaw @ May 13 2008, 08:59 AM) I saw this from http://www.uiqblog.com/2008/05/09/speed-bo...our-uiq3-phone/ I've been using both of the softwares for 1 week already, so far so good.May i know what is its side-effect? I've found out a way to call up the contact list faster. I used Swiss Manager to assign Contact as 'do not end this task when end all task'. It do consumed a bit ram, but not much effect, and in the same time you can bring up your contact list in a touch. No need wait for loading those contact. |

QUOTE(kmheing @ May 13 2008, 11:52 AM) i got a question for the pros..everytime i install themes with nice icons, the icons seem to remain the same as the old ones..any idea wats wrong and how to fix it? thx in advance.. FYI, icons do not come with themes. On the preview they're showing their themes with custom icons. Those custom icons you've to find/search yourself. Some icons do come with themes, but they're in another folder. On the end you also have to load all the icons 1 by 1 yourself. |

QUOTE(steel2k2 @ May 13 2008, 03:08 PM) Hmm... as i know AutoLock is just the original Keypad lock on the phone right? Autolock doesn't apply to the iPhone lock application right? Hmm... if so, why do you still need to turn it off? My system Auto Lock is off all the while, and its still off now.My iPhone Lock will still auto lock my phone when the screen turn black. |

QUOTE(allenultra @ May 13 2008, 08:52 PM) You sure singapore latin without chinese input? I think you misunderstood already. When I first bought my phone, it comes with singapore firmware with Singapore Latin CDA (R5A), it does come with chinese input. Problem solved. CDA is base on xxxxx/xx, not the RxA. |

QUOTE(nohal @ May 14 2008, 01:55 PM) If you no need Chinese input, I strongly recommend you flash your phone to GW1.Its better and stabler compare to other firmware. We always recommend user to use either GW1(if no need Chinese input) or SG firmware(if you need Chinese input, like me). |

QUOTE(nohal @ May 14 2008, 02:19 PM) GW1?....i always trouble finding the firmware...hayya....can u send it to me? hehehe....or post me the link.... By the time you finish posting this you should be doing half way already if you refer to 1st post from the begining. the instruction on flashing on the 1st post rite? P1i doesn't work like other normal SE phone, which you need the Main, FS, and custom pack to do the flashing stuffs. Its way easier to flash a UIQ phone than a normal SE phone. QUOTE(LittleD @ May 14 2008, 03:05 PM) Why do you need 8gigs M2?Many people claim that P1i supports up to 8gigs, but we don't really recommend people use it. 4gigs is really more than enough for a hardcore media freaks. But if you really want, 8gigs can be used also eh. QUOTE(LittleD @ May 14 2008, 03:12 PM) oh, but 1GB also low speed, how about 4GB ? The speed we're talking about is not the M2's speed, but the phone speed.tell me the Casing price faster~~ carying about my phone damaged |

QUOTE(teikwing @ May 14 2008, 03:43 PM) yeah. agreed. 4GB is more than enough for all the entertainments needs. think its even hard to utilize all the 4GB of entertainment at one go too. There's only one reason I can think of for those who want to use 8gigs.No offense, to show off. I've heard this answer from those who have 8gigs memory card on their phone. I've tried to ask a few of them, and their answer is "to show off lo". |

QUOTE(nickeleonidas @ May 14 2008, 09:02 PM) Pay to get it, another way, get the 'ehem' version.Click here to download QUOTE(sunauto @ May 14 2008, 09:03 PM) Some people like my dad, feels that 64mb is more than enuff. His phone really botak one, not a single thing stored in the m2. I use my M2 to store all photos I've taken with my phone only. And I got 3 full size 320kbps MP3, for testing purposes. No custom ringtones, no custom pics, and no application on my M2. I installed all those important application in my phone memory, feel like they work much better than installed in M2. QUOTE(LittleD @ May 14 2008, 09:39 PM) i scare asked wrong, bcoz my english not very well, i explain again. I really can't imagine how you treat your phone. 3G镜头上面右边一点有一个明显的凹进去的疤痕、背面电池盖有一个小痕迹、底部的铝壳也有一点敲到凹进去、左右的黑色Plastic也有一点花、红外线很花(不懂为什么)、前面荧幕下面keypad上面的P1i有一条不明显的刮伤痕迹 so everyone, please take care your P1i ~ dun do some one like me My GF scolding me everyday ask me to take care of my phone already as I always throw here throw there. But I have 1 obvious scratch only, which I got it when 1 dropped my phone. Other than that, seriously, still look like new. Added on May 14, 2008, 10:20 pm QUOTE(allenultra @ May 14 2008, 10:06 PM) After 2 days of P1i usage. 1st of all, sorry for editing your original post, to number sequence.1. Flashed to latest firmware, Singapore firmware. Just nice for me as I need the chinese input. SMS now comes with the virtual keyboard, not available with the default firmware (can't remember the version name) but the virtual keyboard doesn't appear in Opera Mobile/Mini browser though. 2. Did walkmanv3 hack, followed carbon14 guide and it was successful at first attempt. There isn't volume control in walkmanv3 AFAIK, if u know how to alter volume in walkmanv3, please enlighten me. 3. SwissManager is a nice application but I don't know how to set it "autostart", I remember I read at p1iblog.com that this function disable in UIQ 3.0? Correct me if I'm wrong. 4. Green Tint issue was horrible on the default firmware(was it R9H007? can't really remember), it seems better now with the latest firmware. Will snap a photo of white paper and upload here later. 5. Nokia N series browser is clearly better than Opera Mobile/Mini browser after tried my bro's N82. 6. The loudspeaker volume is quite ok, not as loud as w800i but the volume still pretty acceptable. Just use any audio editing software and increase the amplitude of the audio files, you should get a louder playback. 7. Symbian UIQ 3.0 softwares not that easy to find compared to S60 though, had hard time looking for games. 8. On GSM & 3G mode, 3G signal always drop and change to GPRS mode. If I force 3G mode, its seem better, hardly drop. P1i not really a good 3G phone? or Maxis3G just sux? That's all for now, quite a happy P1i user. This easier for me to give you some feedback according to your review. 1. The virtual keyboard does come with the phone from the very beginning. Just I think you didn't on it when you're on older firmware. But, do we really need virtual keyboard when you got QWERTY keyboard? 2. Yes the WALKMAN 3.0 does have volume control. Let me ENLIGHTEN(seriously, I love this word * Button - Function * E/R - Equalizer * T/Z - Volume up * A/S - Stop * D/F - Previous track * G/H - Play / Pause * J/K - Next track * X/C - Shuffle * V/B - Volume down * N/M - Minimize 7. Google ipmart-forum, dotsis, and you'll find yourself tons of UIQ softwares and games. 8. Yes this happened on me also when in certain area. May I ask how do you force it to full GPRS or full 3G mode? This post has been edited by Shufflerz: May 14 2008, 10:26 PM |

QUOTE(allenultra @ May 14 2008, 11:13 PM) Control Panel > Connections > Mobile Networks > More > GSM/3G Networks Actually, the photos look okay or not, its all depend on yourself.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I need comment on photos above, it seem ok for me. Far better than old firmware, where green tint was obvious even on phone LCD. I've posted my sample pic in V2 before, and 1 particular claim that my are FAR worse than his. But, its my phone, and I can't really see what's the different, so, who cares? Right? QUOTE(carbon14 @ May 14 2008, 11:14 PM) Open the iphonelock.ini file in D:\Shared\Iphonelock. Change this Okay this thing works.CODE LockOnlyOnStandByOrGDesk - 1 (from 0 to 1) idleTimeOut - 0 (if the above doesn't work) Nice one. QUOTE(steel2k2 @ May 15 2008, 01:20 AM) Yea some people claim that new firmware even got red tint, or whatever it is.As I mentioned before, who the hell going to take photos of an A4 paper with their phone for the rest of their life? We can't really see those tints thingy in both indoor and outdoor pics taken by our phone under good/bad lightning. So, I don't really think this tints thingy is a very serious issue that we have to sue Sony Ericsson for cheating our money.
