The 1000H is going for 2099 at lowyat, the 901 for about 1.9k. I went to imbi and got a wind instead for 1799.

Added on July 17, 2008, 11:35 pm QUOTE(ziranfaze @ Jul 17 2008, 10:02 PM) This upgrade was performed by the shop selling you? Then the warranty won't be void? i made sure the upgrade was performed by shop..the extended warranty is back to back to ASUS..not necessarily endorsed by ASUS I guess..Extend warranty is officially approved by Asus? QUOTE(dvng @ Jul 17 2008, 11:41 PM) As a comparison, the 901 is S$798, 1000 is S$888 in Singapore (prices inclusive of 7% GST refundable to tourists; advertised in Challenger IT chain store).Added on July 17, 2008, 11:47 pmAcer Aspire One is S$699. With the Atom CPU, I think it doesn't give any reason for the HP Mininote (S$888-999) with the VIA CPU to exist... This post has been edited by cjtune: Jul 17 2008, 11:47 PM |

QUOTE(dvng @ Jul 17 2008, 11:48 PM) Yup, not cheaper than M'sian, for Singaporean and PRs...But if you're a tourist, you can claim back the 7% GST so, it's just RM1991.xx. Note that Challenger prices are usually on the higher side. Maybe can get 5% lower with the Sim Lim shops (I haven't been snooping those shops). |

How many RAM slots does the Asus EEE PC 1000(h) have?Added on July 17, 2008, 11:35 pm i made sure the upgrade was performed by shop..the extended warranty is back to back to ASUS..not necessarily endorsed by ASUS I guess.. Your 2GB is one stick or 2 sticks? How come only Rm80 for 2GB? You trade in the original 1GB? Does it come with a bag or any free gift? This post has been edited by okk: Jul 18 2008, 12:29 AM |

my god, i'm just so torn between the 1000h and wind
there's a comparison on the web that says the keyboard on the asus is not as good as the wind, plus tactile feedback from the mouse buttons aren't as good as wind either plus the horribly huge ugly hinge on the asus makes the wind look so sexy on the other hand, 6 cell @ 7 hours is freagin awesome. i'd appreciate any suggestions from users of 1000h and wind. cheers. |
