Just for the information of you guys, Compuzone website states that Asus EEE PC 1000 (H) is already available now for Rm1,999.

http://www.compu-zone.com/index.php?option...id=3:promotions

I have a question though.
Is there any option to buy extended warranty for the EEE PC?

I got mine at RM1999 at LowYat today, upgrade to 2GB ram for RM80 and extended the warranty to 2 years for RM58, altogether RM2137..

What machine did you get? Asus EEE PC 1000 (H)? Which shop you got it from Low Yat?

sorry, its the asus 1000h...so far so good..but the base is quite warm after a while..no yostore bundled..still new to it..6 cell battery good for 7 hrs of normal use i.e web browsing..no micrsoft office..the wifi is very fast compared to my dell..keyboard flimsy compared to my dell..the finish is much better than wind..

i made sure the upgrade was performed by shop..the extended warranty is back to back to ASUS..not necessarily endorsed by ASUS I guess..

How many RAM slots does the Asus EEE PC 1000(h) have?
Your 2GB is one stick or 2 sticks? How come only Rm80 for 2GB? You trade in the original 1GB?

Does it come with a bag or any free gift?

yup..the RAM is a 2Gb single slot and i traded the 1Gb RAM for a CORSAIR 2Gb, came with a ori soft bag thats all..btw the ori RAM has no brand.

stock is depleting rapidly, yesterday alone besides me. in one afternoon, 5 Nos of 901 and also 5 nos of 1000H within the hour. I wanted the WIND but they dont have the White colour and also didn't fancy the 3 cell battery. The next shipment of WIND from Computer War will only have PINK and BLack colour. Shucksss..

Can the bag fit in the power adapter and one external slim DVD writer?

not really.
vlite will shrink vista much like what nlite did for xp.
its just that you wont get a 300MB ISO for vista.

btw the 900 with 30GBs is celeron and SSD or celeron and HDD?

Get 1000 (h), you can install full blown Vista, no need to shrink smile.gif

1000H keyboard is 92% of actual normal laptop keyboard size....that's also the reason I am getting it in coming PC Fair compared to 901, although it's 0.4kg heavier.

901 is just not practical for me, I keep making typing mistake...

Evernew selling EEE PC 1000(H) at RM2,099 at PC Fair!!!
They jacked up the RM1,999 price from Asus.

They give you a free backpack and convert your warranty to on-site warranty, which I don't need anyway....

Very bad from Evernew....jacking up the price even though they are the authorized distributor for Asus product.
Notebook Studio in Lowyat is selling RM1,999 but they ran out of stock..
