The 1000H is going for 2099 at lowyat, the 901 for about 1.9k. I went to imbi and got a wind instead for 1799.

I would suggets that you test out your unit by plugging in the AC adapter and pulling it out a few times. It was reported that CORSAIR 2GB RAM hangs during the switch between AC and Battery. Get the Kingston Value RAM cheaper and tested by lots of users in eeeuser.com. This is on the 901.

WHat's the price for MSI wind 6 cell? For the MSI wind 3 cell the price is 1799 till 1899. If the price for MSI wind 6cell is  1999-above i will still choose EEEpc .Don't really feel condifent on MSI product

ALready got a small sling bag for my eeepc, and it's carry my maxis broadband together with y eeepc. BTW eeepc battery rulez I almost use it 6-7 hours perday i even can online while crusing.

I am using A-Data 2gb ram so far so good. 

Yup that is right 4 + 16 for linux and 4 + 8 on xp.

The 4GB is using the slave slot but the 8GB SSD cannot fit in the 4GB slot because it is thicker.

so the 901's 20GB drive is actually a combination of 4GB + 16GB? Damn!! That's make's it a bit difficult to install Vista on it

u bought XP version & wanna change to linux? why didn't u buy linux version instead? u got 20GB SSD somemore

Might as well get a 12.1 inch notebook from Dell with a Core2duo.

i want to get both =X ( made a deal with a friend to buy off my aao while im waiting for the 901 to be available since i've already ordered my aao )

just got tempted by the battery life on the 901 but if acer release a battery before i get the 901 i'll just stick to the aao

ssd is split into two, 4gb and 8gb. I bought the XP version, the linux version comes with 4gb and 16gb.

the 8gb ssd (or 16gb) can be upgraded (DIY) using a standard 1.8inch harddisk which so far can go up to 80gb.

But the easiest way for me to add memory is just to use sd cards which can go up to 16gb each.
i asked the guy who upgraded for me (evernew), he said no it doesn't.

just wait for pc fair's price. i sure hope 901 will be at 1699 (including few xtra goodies )

At US the price for 1000H has drop to $549... i wonder when they gonna drop the price in m'sia
