normally he wont bite.. i never really kena him bite b4.. n Micah i always handle.. other than scent marking my shoulder n biting a bit on my neck which kind of hurts he never bite me already.. today 1st time.. jump on my hand bite some more..

last time KP/hun also advised on blowing their face to tell them to stop. might take long time for them to understand. just dont let them bite, they might like it and get used to biting

About gliders bitting, i dont really agree if you let them to..
I never give chance to my glider that wants to bite..
I need my hand in good condition for work man..

Dealing with bitting glider, i do not blow them (reminds me of a Johnny Depp movie - 'Blow'..)
I prefer keep playing with them but don't give chance to bite.. err how to explain ah?

But if they're bitting in sense of attacking mode, then other story la..

like u suggest lo... prepare the basic housing equipments [rm160 cage frm petshack, then add wodent wheel sr, metal feeding cup, cage stuff, cage stand, bonding pouch, n foods [multivitamins, slurp, etc]...]

hehe... i really need to prepare for the BIG arrival.. so dont mind if have to wait... i really makes me kinda want to buy them now... but it takes time for me n even it helps me research better ma.. haha

but will check to see if the joeys r 2months OOP not k using SIFUs method in page 1... the hand/palm check n fluffy tail thing... any ideas how to make me sure the age besides those two mentioned??

Take as much time you need...
as advised from the very beginning, never rush into getting a pet..

As for free gliders, you better check whether he's willing to give the babies or adults haha!
Besides age, one more thing you should be concern is about their diet, what have your friend's friend has been feeding them..? That's why we choose reliable breeders/seller because they aren't just particular on the age but also on their diets and care.. Care means how have your friend's friend has been keeping them, their hygiene level, temperament and environment..

One more thing, there's no such thing as 'free' in this world. Free means: "somebody else is paying for it.." hahaha...

I suppose underage term that people use here are any joeys under 7 weeks old.. as per discussed before, joeys can start to open their eyes within 10 days OOP..

Reasons for not getting an underage joey:
- They won't have enough milk/nursing from their mom
- They won't learn basic life skills from their parents i.e groom, potty, glide etc

Just so everyone knows, just get the joeys from a breeder/seller that you really trust and you can rely on her/him.

bonai.. i never kena bitten when playing.. i kena bitten when putting Joey back into the cage from the small door cos when i open big door both will jump out.. so when i put my hand in the small door(half my arm) Micah suddenly jump on my hand n start biting my wriste.. so i cant do anything also..

since god gave us brains to think creatively, here's some suggestions:

- put your hand deep inside when putting Joey inside the cage..
- distract Micah with your other hand..
- teach them when you open the big door, they are not allowed to jump out..

Your gliders are 6 months old. More or less same as mine.

They have grown older now, so they have stopped this habit of biting.

Their trust, bonding and personal relationship with you matters to keep them out of this habit one day.

my room is my glider's room..
Micah seems to like it after i've let him lose a few times and is able to go around from the floor to his cage..
Joey is a bit nervous around.. maybe really need more trust between us.. will try slowly..
more biting to come.. haha..

Take them out for an adventure in your private closet more often. You will know that they are bonded to you when they love your presence by hanging around you whenever they like.

Biting is a pain in the neck..
A bonded glider will bite less.

Ouch..sometimes my gal glider likes my toe, a small pinch is ok..

Whenever we bring our gliders out, do remember to take every short entermission to feed them water to prevent dehydration.

i've noticed my glider is eating less food lately.. usually i give her a bowl, and she usually finish 3/4 .. nowadays, i notice she only eat 1/4 of the food i gave her.. however no problem with the protein side, as she always finish all the meal worms... worried lah. any idea why she's like that??

can anyone let me know how is a complete meal for my glider?
i've been feeding her this sugar glider food i get from pet safari..but she dun seems to like it..i fed her some fruits sometimes...
