![]() This type of powder can be used, easily available at a few pet shops. Anyway, I support what KP just posted. It is true that some breeders separate joeys and syringe feed milk. Adpost had 1 guy doing that.... Why they do it? Coz when a joey syringe feeds, it is cute and also appears "tamer". Normally a 2 month joey OOP is very curious and active, crabby and plain naughty while those that are underage are not fully independent, so they appear slightly slower, have very babyface and small ears and they aren't as active. Should see my joeys, it's like they are on a sugar high. The one that I am training to free range is super naughty, now on my arm, sekejap wanna jump and explore, then climb up and down on me. Now that is what an independent joey would be like. |

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ May 23 2008, 11:00 AM) Yeap, they always have this thought that if they syringe feed or nurse them while they are very-very young will help make the joey easier to tame and bond... But this method is absolutely wrong! To make the joey tamer and such does not require syringe feeding or nursing them by yourself. The joey should be left to nurse with the mother... The only thing the breeder or owner should do is handle the joey as much as possible according to the permitted time... One should not play parents to young joeys unless on special cases such as rejected joeys. Not only the joey needs their mother's milk, they also need their parents to teach them stuff, survival stuff such as pooping, eating, jumping, gliding, etc... KP |

Leave your scented clothes in or on top of the cage the longest possible. Few weeks to a month just to be sure. If you take out and wash, replace with another smelly shirt. 1 day is not enuff lor, the longer the better...
