I wanted to use all platforms but I see like it will be cramped up so I didnt. Hopefully you can post up a picture of your cage later.
Natural ropes from hardware store, soak in mild soapy water and sun in for 1 whole day... What's the reason with the soapy water?
Yes, I will copy Pet Shack setting. Very nice!
Is up to you. My cage is like a circus

and my gliders enjoy jumping and climbing on the ropes. I'll try to get a pic, it is always dark and can't see much coz my background also dark loh.
Sometimes the ropes from hardware store may be dirty, who knows how long they have kept it or what kinda glaze or wash was use to preserve the ropes. So when you soak in soapy water, it can get rid of the excess oils and glaze, then it cleans the ropes too. I sometimes add a few drops of Detol to make sure no bacteria is on the ropes. Sunning it dries the wet ropes. This is all precaution only.
Anyway, you and your sis will have alot of bonding and handling to do. You must try and not be scared of the nipping and crabbing hahaha.... but don't worry, your girls rarely nip. They just show their dislike by crabbing.

i am so proud and happy to be their owner .. hehe
but 1 thing..dey dun like milk =.="... only eat slurp and apple...

Crabble? ahaha.... new kinda sound is it? Is crab or crabbing or crabby, depends on your grammar.... but not crabble.
It is normal for gliders to want and hide back in the pouch. And it takes time for them to trust you. Good that they are doing great. Take a picture of them and post here so that we can judge if they should take milk or not. And please don't just give apples everytime. Give other type of fruits like mango, papaya, honeydew, ciku, rambutan.... the list goes on.
Anyway, I wouldn't advice people to get a male and a female at once. You know there is a chance of Rachel becoming pregnant too early, resulting in her being stunted in growth, or the joey not 100% healthy. We normally encourage people to get a female first, then wait 2 to 3 months before getting a male.
I took precaution with mine, and only introduce a male when my female gliders were past 6 months old. That way, once the male is mature to breed, the female already is strong, healthy and her body can take the burden of having joeys.
A few owners here have neutered their males to avoid such breedings. And males that are neutered won't be smelly and stinky, won't be botak and won't musk.
