i have a nokia n82, 5mp, a-gps, wifi, symbian, and internet browsing capability, what so great/interesting about it either? i still prefer the full page browsing, easy control safari on the iphone. and it lags even with simple task, browsing tonnes of pictures.

even though the iphone will be officially launched by Singtel, everything i've read indicates that Apple will do their darn best to limit the "grey" market this time round by insisting that the phone be activated in store.

and another source i heard from is that the phone WILL be locked to the first SIM that is inserted.

not so soon. i have just got a new phone again on contract from o2. still 10 months to go before contract end. but then since the new contract is totally free after 12 months by redemption, am considering to get the iphone for cheap on contract sometime in OCT.

it cost $199 if only if you get it on 2 years contract.

unless your cousin is willing to pay every month for 2 years for the contract, you wont be able to get it at $199 only.

nope. contract free iphone is made available too, when and how much? unknown yet but definitely yes.

and as usual, if they are locked to telco, someone will need to unlock it.
