HOW TO JOIN MSR LEAGUE

1. Buy rFactor game from : www.rfactor.net . The current price of the game is USD 39.90.
2. Read the current season rules at the current season thread.
3. Download the necessary mod and track files. The files can be downloaded from www.rfactorcentral.com. Registration (free) is required to download the files. Links to the files also available from www.malaysiansimracer.com and at the current season thread in this forum.
4. Select your car and send a pm to the league administrators.
5. The admin will then pm you the server name and password.

When you set the view of the onboard FOV and height, if you want full realism this is the basic guidelines for you. Anything less than this would render the cockpit position unrealistic. Do you agree? and your opinion please.

The hot topic for debate in the sim is whether arms and wheels add to realism or not? My view of it is that, I would like to immerse in the display, so having arms and wheels in the game is realistic than having none of it. It depends, if I have the correct scale monitor and a 3d representation of it is realistic, I would like to have wheel and arms off. But since the peripheral is lacking, I dig myself into the monitor. Hence my setup from wheel to monitor is very very close.

But people who would like to immerse outside the display don't want a visible wheel and arm complaining that they would like to see their real arms and their real wheels only. Which is also correct. To each his own. Your opinion guys.

This MSR BMW lapped almost at par with those PCC. What are the benchmark times we are looking at? 2.04 race pace? with a 2.03 qualifying?

Sebring is one of my favorite, every lap feels great, particularly the flowing section before the last back straight corner.

huhu..aku race selang2 minggu..next week aku race..pastu mggu lepas tu absent balik,,haha..

Race pace 2.04 is possible i think....managed a low 2.05 on unoptimmised tires...still havent found much balance yet. But ure rite about the flow of the track....especially the high curbs approaching the back straights...and the bumpy last and first turn....interesting suspension mission there...

I,ve tested the HDR plugin bro PC. Its sure look nice. a must for ppl who love eyecandy stuff. The only issue i got is the flickering for a couple of second when running a track n for rabun ppl like me also not that good when racing. mata jadi kelabu la... so blurry..hehe

HDR plugin is awesome news (havent tried it). Mid and high range graphic cards can benefit from this and surely will make great screenshots!
Azrink, did u try it on Sebring? Coz Sebring replay does tend to jerk in some section.

2.05 will be the standard pace when the pack finally catch up. PCcrazy will shine here as he is an expert in suspension tuning and balancing the car, plus this is his fave track.

mara i've tried the hdr plugin. but not using the san andreas. if we use san andreas plugin sure got big FPS issue. i use enbseries by racefreak

if not rfactor might crash. mine crasah for several times before get it to work. anyway its worth it. FPS also not drop so much. still in the range of 60-75. depends on how many car infront.

Anyway aku donlod yg 60mb tu...ok la tapi abit pecah. Action pack siut. Lagu bes....tapi dah 12 minit macam repetitive sgt. HDRI kat valencia nih tak nampak sgt kut. HDR config yg lagi satu tu mmg ringan, tapi tak berapa lawa. Yg first tu lawa, tapi crash.

In Sebring, instead of the speed compromise between the inner section and the fast last and first sector, the brakes have to work just as good or else u'll be slow. Balance in the long2 turn into the main straight and its exit is very interesting. Its bumpy and u have to maintain bite and traction.

hehe gg nak buat style WTCC ka. 1st race start according to qualifying, 2nd race first 8 finisher of 1st race start terbalik. i mean 8th position will start 2nd race in pole position, 7th position start in 2nd and so on to the winner of 1st race. i mean winner of 1st race start 2nd race in 8th position. like WTCC lah. u'll get the idea. a bit confusion, but race wise, its good.

we did that in season 3. 2 race session : sprint & feature (sprint reverse grid). tapi kesian kat mara coz he had to adjust the grid manually

haha....like that how long it take? 38 minutes per race? haha...for another future league can la. hehe.

it won't turn on. don't know why. it happen after my house got suddenly blackout. then when the electric come back again, it won't turn on.

Last 2 days already feel something wrong with the pedal. I practice with race setup, At 6th laps, after 2nd sector already 1 second slower than previous lap, then at straight line before finish line, top speed usually 26xkmh, but now only 25xkmh.

After service the pedal, tonight need to re-tune the setup again..

first time u guys service ur pedal when? i mean after u bought it. after 2 months? 3 months? 1 year?

1 months after bought momo, insert sponge to the pedal, then now only service my pedal, already 11 months didn't open my pedal.

i know my pedal not 100% accurate already. coz i hav to accelerate with my foot pusing towards right side also so that i can get full throttle. if not it will be around 80-90% only.

i serviced my pedal already specificly accelerator pedal....I followed the guide that bro Mara posted and it worked flawlessly right now. BTW, still cannot practice...

Not sure my assumption correct or not, probably the pot already loose, so you have to move your gas/brake pedal left or right to maintain the post position.

Mine is barely 3 months and already spiking. Even though ive covered it with cloth to avoid any dust and stuff to settle in the pot areas, still it happens. Probably because of extended hours of play.

I used to have the same prob on my previous pedals camel. With my new set, Ive positioned the throttle properly aligned with my right foot so u just have to press straight down instead of at an angle (which i did with my old set). Doing that, i have actually pushed the pot horizontally (which is not wut it is designed for) and with long hours, the pot became loose. Since brake pedal pot and throttle pot is connected (physically) any movement on the brakes will affect an unsettled throttle pot. Thats why in CyborgR case he had to move his brake pedals horizontally to get his throttle to go 100%.

Now Im planting my right foot as straight as i can and the movement problem is getting less. Plus it put less strain on the feet (although with that , i have to plant my left foot on the brakes in a slight angle. But in a track like Sebring, u spend more on full throttle and i have to be comfotrable doing in for 75 minutes.

I don't think we can buy the pedal separately. IIRC bro Mara there buy a new set of Momo which mean included the wheel.

pain in the ass ar? aiseh...nvm lo. i repair after race tomorrow. i think its not a big deal yet coz i can still accelerate 100% just need a bit of adjustment on the foot (yea, quite tiring for 75m but no pain no gain ). somemore M3 isnt like F1 where my lap timing will effect much IF i cant accelerate 100%. hehe.....thanx guys

yes mate. It is really hard to assemble the pedal back after applied the tape on the pedal. I found that I struggled just to screw the pedal base for nearly 1 hours. The brake pedal kept misaligned so you might need two peoples to hold the brake pedal or frustrated will soon appeared. I felt like banging that things on the wall and then after the brake pedal magically aligned itself.

u guys with less than 100% throttle use dxtweak2 - i think i mentioned this a few times oredi - make the range smaller so u get 100% even though pedal not fully depressed ie not full pot travel.

mara since u have an extra full set momo racing - why dun u try the hall sensor mod. let me look for the link somewhere - u need a hall sensor (Madnoren help me bought mine from RS) and a hard disk magnet - the tricky part is soldering a resistor onto the momo board - might want to ask a pro to do for u. with hall sensor u dun need any maintenance.

Yes...Hall sensor....i think the magnet thing is neat. I think i saw one in Jalan Pasar here (electronics haven). Im sure i'll get my hands dirty one of these days.

Dats rite camel...And test it at the accelerator slider....Your Direct input will be full but u'll see ur RAW will not be full and spiking....that means ur throttle is 100%. But see if the sensitivities suits ur style and tweak further with logitech profiler.

hey guys. Wanted to know whether if you just pressed the accelerator pedal slightly, will it give u any input? because mine if I press slightly, mean not even half the accelerator doesn't give any input. Is it normal or odd?

yes as per mara's - the direct input shud go from 0-100%
since my BU0836 USB controller has 8 axes - i cannot use dxtweak2 so im using another utility called Diview - same function but no graphic like dxtweak2

alamak the resistor is so tiny - R7 change to 0 ohm meaning short/jumper? i think need to confirm this one first before doing any mod on the board lol

1 person can do the job and only 30 minutes to finish everything, open the pedal, cleaning, replace new sponge and screw back the pedal.
