QUOTE(rubicube @ Apr 22 2008, 08:47 PM) Dear all, u can try ROBO or WW....Which species of dwarf hamsters are least likely to bite their owners. I used to have a Russian dwarf hamster, which rarely pinch me. It has since died after nearly 1.5 years. I then bought 2 mini hamsters from Ikano's Pet Womderland and boy, they are aggressive. I would like to give them away, and replace with those which do not bite. Please advise! Tks ROBO bite the less....can say didnt ever bite... except u make it aggresive..lOL |

Depends on personality. With patience and association since young, I think any kind will do. Get a GP la. GPs only very rarely bite. XD

QUOTE(bidangayah @ Apr 22 2008, 01:33 PM) i saw 2 types of worm, is the superworm the big 1? i saw small worm. but both is same the size only different. Use only normal mealworms. Super worms are not suitable.QUOTE(neshie @ Apr 22 2008, 02:52 PM) oh. my mom actually said it's not good to feed live insects. =.=" it's true in a sense but... heck. Why insects not good? Your mom is wrong. Animals need their own protein source and insects is one of the best natural protein to give hamsters or any other rodents. thanks for the advice anyway! QUOTE(neshie @ Apr 22 2008, 03:00 PM) do they actually let us buy in a small amout? cause that day i asked the uncle he said rm1 for one small cup. =/ The minimum is RM1.QUOTE(bidangayah @ Apr 22 2008, 05:08 PM) i just confused, as in 1st page posted, theres a list of food that give to hammy, it says that carrot + bananas cant give to dwarf hammy, get me clear plis anyone? For Russian campbells, they are prone to Diabetes... so that is why it is best to limit sweet fruits. Carrot in small amounts is ok but not banana. It is super high in sugar.QUOTE(rubicube @ Apr 22 2008, 08:47 PM) Dear all, Just for your info.... mini hamsters in Ikano is Russian Campbells. Your previous hamster could be a winter White. But this I won't know coz I have never seen your hamster before. So you gotta be sure yourself.Which species of dwarf hamsters are least likely to bite their owners. Tks Syrians rarely bite and are nicer to keep. Robos are harder to handle and they are just hyper active. Winter whites are ok but they should live single to avoid fights. Syrians and WW should be solitary while RC and Robos can be in pairs of groups. Be reminded, when I say pairs, is doesn't mean breeding pairs. IT means male and male or female with female. |
