Yea thats true. Want protein? Not necessary from mealworms. As u said, boiled hard eggs (white). There are many more protein and been mentioned from the previous post.

actually, what is the main food for hamster? so far the main food is the pet food i bought, sometime i give them kuaci a bit, sometime i give them chicken, sawi, kacang panjang, it depends on me lolz if i go out that day i'll by for them, but approximately, once in 2 days i'll give them fresh food, is that ok?

Main food for them ofcoz will be their daily foods as in Hamster foods. Yea u r doing fine, giving them kuaci only in a short time. For me i gave my ham ham once a day for fresh foods. Once in 2dayz wouldnt be any problem. And i got a lil suggestion to u, maybe u should observe ur ham ham wether she/he likes which type of "addition foods" better. As u said, u gave them chicken, sawi, kacang panjang, and also etc rite? For certain hamsters they r really pick on foods. Yea it is right that all foods u gave is healthy, but the problem arise when ur hamsters doesnt eat it. Just give a type of "addition food" or maybe max till 3? I think should be okey.

If your hamster not used to eating mealworms, you can try this. Tear off the head of the mealworm so that the hamster can smell the inside of the mealworm and they will eat the mealworm. After they are used to eating the mealworms then you don't have to tear off the mealworm's head anymore.

That's how I get some of my hamsters to eat mealworms

ooh i noticed that early i jaga them, but after that they love to eat them finally, coz i got the hammy parents from my friends, maybe they dont get used to eat fresh food when my friend kept them, but today they doing fine ald.. the pups all like the fresh food i gave so far.

Yup... You will see the mealworm's inside juices flow out then you let your hamster smell. The hamster will surely eat the mealworm.

For adults hamsters wouldnt face any problem when facing mealworms. but as for the pups, use blurjoey's way might work.. Have to gv a try on it.

i havnt tried feed them with mealworm, maybe later i'll try to feed them.

i just confused, as in 1st page posted, theres a list of food that give to hammy, it says that carrot + bananas cant give to dwarf hammy, get me clear plis anyone?

use forcep to take the worm lol

can give, but in moderation.. but bananas, i dun recommend cos hamsters like to hoard away food in their food pouches.. since bananas are sticky, it will stick inside ur hamsters pouches n may cause infection..

never feed too much of high-sugar-content food, ie. fruits.. it's better to feed vege than fruits.. hamsters do get diabetics too..
