i dont mind they sell GT5P at MY PSN for Rm180..they can jack up the price to RM250 i also dont mind.

stop bashing GT5P la guys, if dun like it just dun buy it, but for me, GT5P worth the full price i paid the 1st day it came out, even until now i haven't unlock all the cars....

they lack of what we called, pure car racing enthusiasm. that's why they behave like that.

Yamauchi: “We will give the release date of GT5 soon.”



In a short but sweet interview with AutoWeek magazine which must have fallen through the cracks with all the other E3 news, GT series creator Kazunori Yamauchi stated that “We will give the release date of Gran Turismo 5 soon.” The question remains, though - just how soon is “soon”? Speculation is mounting in our forums, with many pointing towards the upcoming Tokyo Game Show this September 24-27. Aside from taking place on Polyphony Digital’s home turf (their offices are located in Tokyo), the 2007 TGS show is where they announced the release date for GT5 Prologue. While this is just speculation, you can see the pieces of the puzzle would fit together quite nicely.

Another surprisingly interesting portion of the interview came when Yamauchi was asked about Gran Turismo 1’s development:

AW: How hard was it to make that first game?

KY: It took five years. In those five years, we could not see the end. I would wake up at work, go to sleep at work. It was getting cold, so I knew it must be winter. I estimate I was home only four days a year.

He also mentioned the original game was created by a staff of only 7 people! Oh, how things have changed

And at around 1:25 in the video, the driver's time trial is not registered (the timer is in red) - knocked on the wall perhaps ?

hmm.. i have no idea why the timing is in red color. probably to indicate time is running out in the demo?

That's normal in live for speed. If you missed your chicane or knock on wall, your timer turns red and your time trial run won't count. I'm assuming its the same here

Hi GT5 fans

Im new to this forum as you can see my join date but i am definately not new to GT series... I've been a fan of Gran Turismo since it 1st came out back in 1998... but due to work, I had to leave my beloved gaming world behind... much recently i find myself to have some spare time and bought a PS3... I bought a few games like SF4 / Fifa09 and MSG4 and was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo tempted to get the GT5P as well...but seeing that the full version GT5 could be released some where Nov 09 or so i heard or maybe not.... lol Should i just wait for PD to release GT5? or go ahead and buy GT5P???

Will prolly be getting a G25 for GT5 and also DIY a playseat (If I have the time) since its not available in Malaysia... and if were to import 1 in from Playseat... price could range from somewhere between 550Euro - 650Euro (including shipment fees + tax if any)


saw this guy made a racing cockpit from a very old exercise bike and its definately way cheaper and by far the best DIY playseat ive come accross on the internet...

Any opinions or advise are appreciated....

Better wait for the full GT5 coming out end of this year (crossing fingers). Or if you can't wait, try getting the 2nd hand copy of this game from some of the forumers here are selling.
