evoHahn, you mean, for that partucular race, its multiplayer is not region lock? drool.gif  So i think it could only mean that PD could be implementing global races in future. Sounds yummy.  wub.gif I'll go check it out, but sadly i haven't bought my US prologue yet.  sad.gif

Everytime you resume download after disconnected, it will ALWAYS START FROM 0%. Don't worry about it. Just keep downloading after disconnected. After a while, you will get all files downloaded to your PS3.

CES 2009: Sony teases with high-quality PS3 3D

user posted image

We've heard from many of you that 3D technology is something you're interested in seeing at CES, and Sony has one of the most impressive displays of 3D at their booth... but you won't learn anything about it.

"Don't get caught up with specs," the Sony representative told me. "We're not going to talk about specifications. This is just a look at what 3D could look like if Sony decided to move in this direction." The idea was just to show the technology to people, to see if they would be interested in sitting at home, wearing a dorky set of black glasses, watching content in 3D.

I couldn't pry details about how the 3D affect was achieved, or if the display could turn any source into 3D, but what's clear is that, glasses or no, the 3D affect is amazing. Sony showed off Wipeout HD running in true 3D, and I was ready to whip out my credit card right there. Frank and I both agreed, this was one of the best demos of 3D technology we have ever seen.

"3D has come a long way, hasn't it?" the representative asked me. Sure it has, but give me some details. We can't get excited if all the press gets is a short tech demo. The crowd around the display was large, and filled with "ooohs" and "aaaahs."

This probably won't be the last 3D display we see at CES, but as a proof of concept, our appetite is whetted. Sony claims that they have Gran Turismo Prologue playable on the display, but I just wanted to take one home. The company is hedging its bets about how long it will take to get this level of 3D into your home, but if this tiny taste was any indication, there is a ton of promise.

We're promised more 3D surprises from Sony's even larger press event tomorrow, so hopefully we'll get some more information.

I could do that but it'd take too much effort and time lol. I prefer to just go and buy ready made, much quicker. Design like playseat , but for a bit lower price without g25 and lcd.

Yeah, Playseats design is simple and neat. Doesn't take much space. But, they don't ship to Malaysia. cry.gif

See you at TGS, Yamauchi. tongue.gif laugh.gif

Yamauchi: “We will give the release date of GT5 soon.”

user posted image

In a short but sweet interview with AutoWeek magazine which must have fallen through the cracks with all the other E3 news, GT series creator Kazunori Yamauchi stated that “We will give the release date of Gran Turismo 5 soon.” The question remains, though - just how soon is “soon”? Speculation is mounting in our forums, with many pointing towards the upcoming Tokyo Game Show this September 24-27. Aside from taking place on Polyphony Digital’s home turf (their offices are located in Tokyo), the 2007 TGS show is where they announced the release date for GT5 Prologue. While this is just speculation, you can see the pieces of the puzzle would fit together quite nicely.

Another surprisingly interesting portion of the interview came when Yamauchi was asked about Gran Turismo 1’s development:
AW: How hard was it to make that first game?

KY: It took five years. In those five years, we could not see the end. I would wake up at work, go to sleep at work. It was getting cold, so I knew it must be winter. I estimate I was home only four days a year.
He also mentioned the original game was created by a staff of only 7 people! Oh, how things have changed

Gran Turismo PSP Box Art Revealed

user posted image

Here it is, folks: your first look at the official box art for Gran Turismo PSP. As you can see, it features Chevrolet’s hottest Corvette ever, the ZR1. Kazunori Yamauchi himself selects the car to appear on each game’s cover – what made him pick the ZR1 to receive such prestigious recognition? As it turns out, he’s spent quite a bit of time hanging around the ‘Big 3′ in Detroit, taking a particular fondness for American muscle cars in the process.

Exclusive rides for Gran Turismo PSP pre-orders (but you can still unlock them in game, just that you have to pay in-game credits to get them).

The Bugatti Veyron and Lamborghini Countach are appearing in the PSP version, and they should be making an appearance on GT5.

Polyphony finally acquired the license to have Lambos on Gran Turismo  brows.gif
