I'm currently on 6.1, the 7th speaker is on its way!
Hope to have 7.1 by this weekend. Well, about the room size, I think it's more about the speaker size, not the speaker count. You can still enjoy 7.1 in small room, just use small ones for the surrounds and calibrate correctly. |

actually if using powerful AVR and speakers ... 5.1 setup already unspeakable ... don't need 7.1 ... unless you have a very big room
I tried Pioneer most advanced EX Speaker series with AVR LX-70 ... 5.1 setup only ... in around 20'x25' room ... the sound quality unbelievable ... the speaker itself cost >100k and front speaker each weight around 45kg ... so I don't think need 7.1 in this case |
