Swift sports can tackle easily leh. If stock Swift 1.5, I started felt like flying when reaching 170km/h haha.  laugh.gif

Go for coilover set and you can whack like swift sport drool.gif

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Feb 13 2012, 10:32 AM)
Exactly my point. For that price, why would i wanna get a Swift when i can easily get a Vios which has better resale value, bigger car, excellent after sales service and better quality.
*
I could not find any reason not to go for fiesta rather than swift. The fiesta seat is soo gooding mang.. Hug your body like semi-bucket seats, I whack corner with smile on my face. Come on, swift's part is not cheap either, same goes to maintenance. The only reason I would go for swift is due to plenty of aftermarket parts to play with.

If you are to say that the Ford gearbox might give you issue, well, better buy a manual gearbox car as AT on swift might suffer from the same problem. POWERSHIFT is a low maintenance gearbox if you have read the article of POWERSHIFT.

If u saying Vios is better than swift in terms of resale values and bigger car. Yeah u are true.. If you are looking for better resale values den better stick with Toyota. Toyota = +3 specs. I have a swift for 3 years ++.Nothing wrong.
*
Er... seriously I cannot brain your statement....

Very simple. The name Toyota is oredi +3 spec la. B4 buy Toyota people oredi add +3 spec.
Yalor... I no care resale value mah. Hope u enjoy your Vios. Good in resale value +1 spec, good is bcoz name is Toyota +1 spec, good bcoz cannot spoil +1 spec. rclxms.gif

I could not understand why you mentioned it to me... I don't own a Toyota and I won't buy a Toyota, period! biggrin.gif

I buy car to use not for sell, so... would not bother much on resale value.

Haha, yeah. Always fun to downshift and heel and toe before the corner, and throttle out! then hear the vvt >5krpm then shift at 7.5k! wahhaha

but ron97 is a pain tho, Herd u can pump ron95, but ron97 seems fine for now, Unless they increase the price again 0.0

I missed my old manual car... Techniques that I've learned could not use anymore... Miss the old time with heel & toe + double clutching...

Now trying to improve skill with auto tranny haha, sounds a bit foolish but then... no choice, mao senang then less fun lo...

Cannot la boss, travel 60km daily for work, RON97 will kill my wallet...

conti is not famous for durability. thats japanese car.

your comparison above, polo is better. way newer.
*
I don't think Japanese has good durability compare to conti, apart from electronic stuff. Japanese makes tend to have better durability is because they have less electronic parts. For my experience, conti cars last longer than jap/local cars in my family.

haha, Smart tunnel, even drive camry also feel the ride very harsh. If u drive swift sports with monroe, lagi worst. Whole car jumping. hahaha. Ron97 surely gives better performance as the engine will advance according to the Ron. If wan to pump ron97 but budget, can always put ron95 and 1 bottle of octane booster, which cost around rm12 per bottle only. Still cheaper than putting ron97 full tank.
*
With coilover installed, I pity my rear passengers every time I go into SMART tunnel. Too noisy and bumpy. Anyway, who cares? I buy car for my own usage =D

What brand of full syn are you guys using? Im driving SSS, and the engine start to cause some weird sound once the mech changed a semi-sin because he say it will not make any difference if I consistently service at 3k.

The SC fella advise me to pour one time of full syn to monitor, still looking for a better quality of engine oil now.. =\

Am using Castrol Edge Sport 0w-40.

All time RON97, currently using Valvoline 5w30.
My fren suggested me to use Castrol Edge too, cuz his Polo orginal came with that and he says the performance not bad.
*
Indeed not bad, but too much fake stuff on the market. Need to be careful when purchasing...

A fren of mine has a CKD model 2011. So far no complain, only saying that the swift's suspension is very stiff compare to his vios.
If u read thru some previous post and articles, u will learn some knowledge about the difference of CKD and CBU.
If i recall correctly, the only difference is CBU assembled by robots and machines, while CKD is bangla lol.

I will still get the new one even if CBU is better, trust me, I drove 3 used cars before. There is alot of things you need to fix even the car is at a superb condition.
*
Swift stock suspension will never be stiff, it is too soft. Only swift sport suspension is stiff

Not sure tho, I'm driving swift sport myself so I know it's stiff.
But I'm not sure how is it comparing to his vios.

However, is it possible to change the suspension without changing the monroe shocks?
Feel like making it lower, the stock ride height is really tall..

Hi, I just got my swift (now only 500km) and started to experience the same issue.

Anyone know what's wrong?
*
This is common issue on swift. The sound come from the air conditional belt. Tell SC about it and they will fix it for you.
