I encounter a problem it told me to restart it and send the problem to the developer team, one day 3 or 4 times, don't know what happen  |

What's the good about 329?
Is it just because it has less bugs and errors compared to the latest one.. Or download speed will be faster by using older versions? Btw i dun see there's any 329 there in ur Blog...did u mean 389? Eh is the no-ad version oni have 472? |

whenver I use Xunlei my connection will hang and I won't be able to connect at all, the only way to fix it is to restart my router.
This problem occur with my Aztech 605 ER but doesn't seem to happen to my ZTE modem that TM supplies to us, and since I have more than 2 computers at home, so the ZTE is actually out of the question. Anyone else have this problem or a solution to this ? |

I have a weird problem with Xunlei on 1 of my laptop..
I use Izzi at KL when Izzi + Xunlei after 5min = BSOD other BT program is still usable but not as fast as xunlei.. I encounter the BSOD problem "netio.sys" so far cant found any solution but just not to use xunlei when Im at KL.. but when at my hometown TMNET + Xunlei = very good.. other PC or laptop at KL Izzi + Xuenlei no problem at all also. Erm.. anyone know what is the problem? |

ya, carefull, izzi/jaring = smaller company = less traffic = more time for staff to check on users

dunno why >_< but still acceptable... used to get 500++ or more now ah... can get 100 to 200++ can laugh loud loud ady sigh~ most of the time now moving like around 30+ anyone like this? only problem is... with the latest version (the one released on 8th April) dunno why keep crashes by itself and have to restart it over n over again uninstall and reinstall it den ok but after a while back to crash, restart cycle anyone knows why? |

hey guys,
yesterday night i did an experiment with my australian counterpart. i dont really know how the private and public trackers work so i cant really go into that detail. but i did read that xunlei wont be able to handle some private trackers and assume that private meaning 1 or few people only. what i did was got my friend to zip up a power point slide together with 2 mp3s and a relatively small avi file. made a torrent out of it and send me that torrent while he sorta like seeded it. he was the only one with that file. it works. i could download from him. 1 peer found. download completed. pretty reasonable speeds since he's got a 1/2 mb upload rate. anyone tried on any private trackers ? using .327 version with 2.0A english patch from HeHeHunter. @huntx - make sure u dun send any money lolz. |

out of curiosity what is KKM ? in your settings page did u change tcp 80 udp 15000 to something else ? from what i can see, there are very little seeders for that torrent file u highlighted. even if it moves it would most likely be at snailpace. i have 1 particular torrent just like that where my DHT only returned a few peers to connect to. + the fact that the peers all had low upload speeds made it even worse for me. but i wanted that file badly so no choice but to wait it out. 650mb took bout 4 months to finish downloading with speeds averaging 2-5kb/s and mebbe none mebbe more at times. you can try 2 things, 1 - is to share that particular torrent file that u have currently with someone else. ask him/her to monitor the speeds and peers for bout 20mins or so. 2 - seek alternatives, mebbe try from a diff tracker or diff source. due to the fact u're not a noob at this, and also u're able to download dattebayo files at immense speeds, u either have to wait it out or really seek an alternative. try my 2 methods. downgrading in your case might not be the next best alternative. still no harm to downgrade but i really wouldnt encourage you to since it works fine (relying on the dattebayo factor) probably HeHeHunter or the rest might have better suggestions for you. |

i change my tcp settings to 8080 if i'm not mistaken my UDP i think it's 11K ++, not sure ady, have to check oh damn, den how to get IP address from other countries to show? my KKM finish downloaded at a much faster pace than stupid torrenting by using direct dl i suppose my slow dl speed is due to the lack of peers n seeders cuz when i download another torrent from the same fansub (same tracker and all), the speed is faster, going around 50+ but never reach 100... maybe i was downloading other stuff too.. i had to downgrade my XL due to the fact the latest version crashes everytime i start it and even with restarting, it still crashes. >_< the previous version seems to be more stable doesn't crash, and the speed is more or less the same as the latest version, i think This post has been edited by midnight_plue: Apr 25 2008, 01:19 PM |

It's sad to see some newbie who does not know how BT works complaining about how Xunlei stealing their broadband without their permission... these newbies only want to download but unwilling to upload is totally selfish behavior, that is why there are so many bad seed out there! I wish all of them disappear or stop using BT all together so at least the traffic is not so congested.
@ x10amin, if you don't want Xunlei (supposedly) secretly upload without your permission, why don't you do the below; a. delete the download/upload mission from XunLei? b. clear all the configuration files from XunLei profile? c. delete/ transfer whatever you have downloaded immediately after you completed it? d. I have this weird problem.Im using the old version of xunlei and it was pretty good without any problems..But a few days ago,the speed slowed down and then maybe half an hour or even less that dat after i open the program,I cant surf the net at all. Im using notebook and connect wireless FYI..

what i mean is i have to use port 8080 to connect to the tracker, but it dont works, i typed netstat in command prompt, the connection seems hanging there waiting for reply .... no peers returned at all. the tracker url looks like this

5.7.9.463 , 5.7.9.466 <---dun install this 2 version or u will have a lot of headache seeing the bugs.
5.7.9.472 5.7.12.493<--- latest version got few bugs so far , i try emule ,bt and direct download work for many days no problem. Still prefer 5.7.7.441 which work great all the times for me. |

@midnight - i have both metrofon and streamyx but i find no fault with metrofon at the moment, cept their unforgiving downtimes.
also i did a test on 1 particular private seeding torrent with xunlei several times now and it works but i still need to run more tests before i can confirm that private seeding torrents would not affect xunlei users too much. also i dont think alot of ppl would ban the xunlei client. as far as i know, i'm still able to obtain full speeds on both metrofon and streamyx. i have posted some screenies back and they show me obtaining external ip's and clients which varies. @lionheart, not all privately tracked torrents ban leechers. and yes when doing troubleshooting on why your client is downloadin at extremely slow speeds, pls check several things 1 - check your normal download speeds by downloading something from microsoft's website. i highly recommend larger files such as dotnetfx. check that speed first. why use microsoft ? because its got one of the largest bandwidth to offer. 2 - make sure your firewall or antivirus isnt the culprit. 3 - check router settings if u are behind one. 4 - get extremely high seeding torrents for testing purposes. (seeders beyond the 3000 mark + leechers beyond the 3000 mark = total 6000 up/dl) 5 - if u tampered with xunlei's settings' go back to HeHeHunter's blog and start from there. |

this few days i duno why my xunlei download so slow.... less than 50kB for 4 tasks torrent...
it's juz happen this few days.... usually i can download for full speed for the same type of torrent(taiwan entertainment show).... there is at least 10 local peers but how come still so slow? no slowdown for me.
i usually open 6-10 tasks to be downloaded at the same time. always hitting max speeds around 270-290kb/s. .327 is really great. |

metrofon a bit problem for me also. 2mb ETTH package i managed to hit around 210-220kb/s for the same torrent @ the same seeders and downloaders.

i tested ady using a torrent from tokyotosho itazura na kiss op single run on both utorrent, xl .441 and xl .327 uttorent is hitting at 50++kb, both xl version is a mere 2~5kb... =_=" seeds/peers for utorrent= 9(20)/(3)241 for xl (both version)= 1/10 BIG difference nia >_< if XL kenot go fast switch to utorrent tat's wat i do now |

i tried already downloading taiwan entertainment show, and i only get peers that are using XL. (XL users are leechers !!!!) But for deluge, windows version is not stable yet, better boot to linux and use it

i finish all my hamtai with xunlei. it really is an awesome piece of software.
lolz. anyway on a more serious note, did anyone try downloading with the latest xunlei on a private tracking file ? did it manage to capture any seeds or peers ? and what are the addresses of the seeds or peers, kindly experiment on this if u have the time. i would like to know if its able to capture or force seeds into the download, and even if it does gets forced, are the seeds for the private tracking torrent held only by local ip's. |

noticed that a lot of asian bt users still using bitcomet .... zzzz. Are they nuts or what ? or they didnt experience any throttling and sucky connection like we have here

i using both xunlei and utorrent as well, i found out that file from tokyotosho dl faster at utorrent, compare to xunlei, and other site mostly xunlei is faster

Till now, I only 2 torrent client.
1 is Xunlei. 2 is Flashget. Reason, is because XL will try to hog my internet connection, my elder brother will bang my head when he cannot go online. I am the one paying the Bill he is the only one complaining... sigh... |

Guys, when you all use xunlei pls beware, my housemate hard disk spoil , infected by 1000 + spyware because of using xunlei........
I had find a web site about disadvantage of xunlei, just read through it before you use this software. I know Xunlei is fast in DL BT but it is no use if it may spoil ur pc. i have been using xunlei for no problems all these time. but this few weeks, i've been dowloading a file. now it stuck at 99.4% and the download speed is like 80kbps. xunlei showing the file will be completed in 10 mins time. this has been showing a few days! seems like i am stuck. but i checked the seeders, there are quite a number of 100% ones. so what might be the problem?

damn! my 4mb combo seems like been traffic shaping after they do some "tweaking" on my port. my 450KB/s+ only can reach at midnight around 1am. now the xunlei crawling with 10KB/s+ max!!!
i only enable 2 tasks & this 2 torrent files can get 60+ 100% seeds & over 150+ leechers still can't reach the full speed in the morning until 12 midnight i've try to re-download this 2 files after 12 midnight, nearly at 1am(60+ 100% seeds & over 150+ leechers).... i can reach the full speed ahead! wtf! is this xunlei problem or tmnuts ? |

if its spyware u're afraid of because of xunlei , i doubt there are any.
preventive measures u can take before installing xunlei are 1 - updated antivirus, AVG serves just fine. if u have norton or nod or kapersky, good for u. 2 - spyware blaster such as spybot can be downloaded for free. use the tea timer as real time protection. no harm. been using it for 2 yrs now. 3 - patch all your security loopholes on your winxp. go update em. |

recently gt sum prob wif xunlei..at 1st i install version 5.6.8.327 n manage to download a bit although speed nt consistent bt at least can stil download...after tat i wanted try other version to c if faster,so try 5.7.2.371 n 5.7.7.441 bt both oso fail so i change back to 5.6.8.327...since then i cant download anymore,the progress bar wont move at all,anybody noe wats happening?

Event ID is normally what people use to patch up the 1/2 open connection. its safe to patch between variants of 50-100. anything above that could lead to disaster. highly not recommended to go beyong the 100 mark although some do. how to do it ? download a event id patch for 1/2 open connection and run the patch. it shud appear in cmd prompt. a tip for all, patch the 1/2 open connection only if u know what you are doing. a little bit of reading on wikipedia would guide u to a successful patch. |

i have install thunder 5.7.6.426 no adv. initially for the first 1~2 min my download speed reach 50kbps *edit happen to all my download files althou the seed is 1045/999 then later my download suddenly dead.. keep reconnect and download only reach 5kbps.. what's the problem ? Hi, i'm newbie here......... and i'm a new xunlei user....
i'm using the latest xunlei for 2 weeks and the speed is good. However, sometimes it hang and the speed drop to 0kb/s. i have to close xunlei and restart it then only back to normal. sometimes, i even have to restart my pc.... i'm thinking of downgrade it to older version. do i need to uninstall the current version first before install the old version or i just install straight away on top of the existing version? |

me too, when using xunlei dl bt drama, will totally disconnect fr internet, at strart it do connect and dl, then xun lei stop dl, internet down, till i close the xunlei program, then internet normal again...

some seeders blocking thunder to downloading source from it.
coz thunder is consider as leecher. utorrent seeder and latest bitcomet 1.0 has a function to block thunder. if you don't trust or think i'm talking bullshit, just do a research. so if you slow, don't blame screamyx. not 100% everytime problem screamyx. |

deng recently dunno why My xunlei when activate, i cant even open the page where i load my modem setting (the 192.168.x.x something), last time still can enter one! Now completely cannot load anything or surf any website will using Xun Lei!!!

I having hard time to download anything for this week. Any alternative other than Xunlei that Streamyx still yet to block? OR else I have to downgrade my Streamyx package. No point to having 1MB if I can't torrent download. |

when i dl with xunlei i will set my upload 5-10kbs(my internet is slow) but then i found that my network is actually sending 20-30kbs consistently.. then I open my task manager > resource monitor and found that xunlei is reading my bt files that have completed? Do anyone can clarify this? I read at some blog that say xunlei is actually stealing our file..I'm not sure about that and i'm not expert. maybe you can try that.. just open xunlei with no download.. then the network will keep upload things. |

This file belongs to xunlei which stores all ur task information and xunlei must refer to this file in order ready to be uploaded to their server... Even u try to delete it, it will be automatically recreated everytime u lanuch xunlei. I told this to few forum members... but they just ignored my post... Ic.. thanks, i will try it later. If you always visit official xunlei forum, they got provide some ways to solve this problem.... I don't think that HeheHunter got provide these kind of solutions.... i guess this is one of the reason why whenever xunlei is on, then the internet will jam too.. xunlei just sucks up all the upload bandwidth.. been using xunlei for quite sometime now. i dink it all comes back to the amt of seeders avail for that particular files ler...sometimes it can go up to 150kb/s for a file, sometimes it can be stagnanted at 0, nothing at one point. be it stimix throttle it or not, i keep my pc on 24/7. i paid for the $$$, i'm gonna max it out.

guys. i nid ur help. i just dwlded xunlei.. but my download doesnt want to start.. i got 300 + seeder.. n mine is private tracker. i dwld on utorrent can reach up to 200kb/s but xunlei max 6kb/s n always cant download.. whats wrong? issit the setting? i off upnp n the port mapped to 80.. so anymore settings? no firewall n etc.. my xp is for software test oni.. never install any firewall.. windows firewall all off..help plz

i've been on metrofon for very long. no throttling for me. xunlei full speeds anytime of the day.
streamyx 2mb .......tak jalan unless after midnight. even if jalan also bout 2-3kB/s waste time. |

my files from dattebayo are still running at high speeds even on streamyx wor. not full speeds but quite high.
only at night i get full speeds. that's around 2am + onwards. throttling during the day perhaps ? |

Just now my connection speed become very slow as I'm downloading file from rapidshare with xunlei a.k.a thunder. The download speed is very low, less than 5kb/s and I'm having hard time to surf net, very very slow. I tot is streamyx problem, but once I close the xunlei, everything goes back to normal. Then I open xunlei again, without downloading, just open and leave it idle, then my connection speed become very very slow again. I'm pretty sure that there is no torrent file sharing behind it on the xunlei. Do you guys have the same problem too? or it is my computer problem??

I've all the while been suffering under BC/Azureus/Utorrent usage, only getting very slow speed.
I've just downloaded AYU's no-ads Xunlei ver 5, and so far, I do see some speed increase. But, I can't see any chinese characters displayed correctly on Xunlei's interface, only get a whole bunch of "?????". Can someone let me know how to see the characters properly on Xunlei? I'm on Vista Basic. I so far had no problems seeing chinese characters on Firefox, and other misc programs running on my pc... |

Hey I got a problem. When half way downloading something, I turn off the computer. Later, when I turn it on again and when I open xunlei, I can see the half-downloaded torrent there. But when I start downloading it again, I've lost all that I've downloaded, meaning, it's back to square one!
Can you guys help me out with this? I really need your help  |

go to regional language option ----> Advanced -----> change to Chinese PRC then restart your pc. You will be able to read those words If you don't know chinese words means you may have to try other softwares |

I keep getting this 'out of memory' error when using xunlei latest version. I m not sure if it's the version or it's my pc coz i've just bought a new pc with a fresh install of windows.
At first i thought it was file paging error as i've turned of file paging but then after turning it on oso still getting the same problem. Now every 12hr i will get the out of memory error. Anyone else have this? Should i revert to older versions? I m using MS AppLocale to show the chinese characters. |

Chinese is the widest language used in the world..more than English! IN THE WORLD.. Some Q guys: My cousin in his house using the 512kbps package(same with me) we use xunlei download the same thing. His xunlei can up to 200kb @ climax..My highest speed only 70kb @ climax..Is this bandwidth problem? |

Can anyone help me out? How do I get the DHT to work? My speed is either 3.16Kbps or cannot download at all for all torrents. I'm using heheHunter's translation.
Ports TCP 80 and UDP 15000 are port forwarded by router and Thunder is enabled for my software firewall Zonealarm. DHT is normal at the bottom left but the task info is always DHT Network in red colour, means cannot connect. Is the problem my firewall or something? |

Yeaps I port forwarded TCP 80 and UDP 15000 which are Xunlei default ports.
HTTP speed are around 100kbps But suddenly as I type this torrents got back to ~40 so good enough Maybe Xunlei a bit gong gong these few days |

depend wat seed are u connect. If china seed Xun Lei should be OK
But if US/Europe there suggest u use back Bitcomet,utorrent etc cause some of seeder there blocking xunlei for accessing the seed. |

err...im having some problem about the speed too.
Previously my speed was quite good & superb when using xunlei, but only today after i had format my pc.. it becomes very slow, sometimes no speed at all, TCP & UDP i was using back the old port i set, which was 8080 & 15000, my router was already done the port forwarding. The torrent i was download also with high peers & seed. any idea? |

Can I know the port range for xunlei? I need to advise my ex-housemates to block the range due to in-cooperation of her new housemates. Keep denied that they didn't use any p2p software to download stuffs and brings trouble to others...Discussion had been done but lead to war...@.@ So I wish to know xunlei, at least its port range. Anyone notice the weird behavior of Xunlei? I'm using 5.7.7.441 AYU edition. Sometimes when Xunlei is running, either I didn't download anything or downloading is completed, it will still consume network resources from 50%-100% and my modem LED is blinking like crazy until I close Xunlei.
Not sure if the AYU edition still contains AD/Malware or not, can't detect any, but it's using near 100% of bandwidth even if I didn't download anything. That causes my other download program (FTP) to be slow like hell. I didn't turn on emule or auto share and I even block BT/Emule ports using firewall, but still it will consume a lot of network resources. I wonder what is it doing at the background. Anyone knows? |

my pc and dlink 2640t rounter are on 24/7 (torrent using xunlei). Recently i found that the network icon always shown "limited or no connectivity" message when i reach home. so i restart both my pc and router, connect and disconnect until i get the ip that i want. then i found out, i can't browse NEW page when xunlei is start running. Meaning that whatever page i open before launching xunlei can still working, for eg: i am browsing forum.lowyat.net, i can still click consoles couch and whatever subforum in lowyat.net. But if trying to browse away says to yahoo.com,no matter in same page, new tab or new windows, it will show no internet connection, this page cannnot be display. i cant even get the router login screen, so i try ping the router, no problem, got reply. Quit xunlei also unable to get the login screen, unless i restart everything. the weird thing is, browser can work normally if i enable proxy in IE options. but i still can't access my router page. so, is this xunlei problem or my router problem ? ps: i already upgrade my xunlei to hehehunter latest no ads version, reset my router to factory dafault and redo the setting (no more new firmware for this model so upgrade firmware is not an option). hi hunter, i downloaded xunlei from ur blog. is it just use the default setings then OK already? cos my torrent not moving at all..
many peers are connected (about 200+) but speed is blank.. is something wrong? I using P1. It is written in the task info that the DHT network is X - red colored.. |

I really need this feature to work cuz I'm currently downloading the same torrent on 2 different computers one using xunlei and the other using bittorrent... I wanna connect as much peer as possible nearby (my local network)... |

Guys, if use xunlei to download for a certain time and then suddenly your PC is disconnected from the internet (the PC only, the other PCs sharing the same connection can still online) and then need to reconnect to the router to get back online, how to fix this?
Helping my housemate to ask... plus she downloads all the stuff and I watch using file sharing. Kinda troublesome if she keeps on reconnect when I am watching a movie, lolz. |

I have a problem with both the xunlei and the mod version. sometimes when downloading (especially on chinese torrents), the internet connection would be disconnected. I am on window 7, so there would be a network internet access icon at the bottom right. It will just says that I have no internet access. There are even once where my KAS says that there's an network attack. Im not sure about this because the warning comes only after I reboot and restart my router. anyone having the same problem or any solution for me?
