deng recently dunno why My xunlei when activate, i cant even open the page where i load my modem setting (the 192.168.x.x something), last time still can enter one! Now completely cannot load anything or surf any website will using Xun Lei!!!

Any ideas why?

i tried xunlei few days ago for torrenting. Utorrent does better than it.

I think Streamyx successfully block Xunlei.

I having hard time to download anything for this week.

Any alternative other than Xunlei that Streamyx still yet to block?

OR else I have to downgrade my Streamyx package.

No point to having 1MB if I can't torrent download.

unfortunately its been said before that the only sure method of being able to download 100% successfully (assuming torrents are seeded well) is via VPN. there are loads of VPN threads. oh i'm gonna add 1 more method called torrentflux. check MX's siggie for more info on torrentflux or whatever u call it.

After I did some testing, it is nothing wrong with Xunlei.
Just the Streamyx way too slow for international connection.

Done test on Streamyx own speedometer (local site) :-

and it show download speed 1200Kbs.

Test on the international site :-

and it show only 200+Kps

One problem about Xunlei

I found that each time when i dl a torrent, it always create a hidden backup torrent at current folder. How can i disable that?

Do anyone feel that xunlei is actually uploading file that we have completed and stopped?
when i dl with xunlei i will set my upload 5-10kbs(my internet is slow) but then i found that my network is actually sending 20-30kbs consistently..
then I open my task manager > resource monitor and found that xunlei is reading my bt files that have completed?
Do anyone can clarify this? I read at some blog that say xunlei is actually stealing our file..I'm not sure about that and i'm not expert.
maybe you can try that.. just open xunlei with no download.. then the network will keep upload things.

Yes, what u said is true.... Go> C:\windows\system32\cidstore.dat. This file belongs to xunlei which stores all ur task information and xunlei must refer to this file in order ready to be uploaded to their server... Even u try to delete it, it will be automatically recreated everytime u lanuch xunlei. I told this to few forum members... but they just ignored my post...

If you always visit official xunlei forum, they got provide some ways to solve this problem.... I don't think that HeheHunter got provide these kind of solutions....

i guess this is one of the reason why whenever xunlei is on, then the internet will jam too.. xunlei just sucks up all the upload bandwidth..

why Xl download speed so slow one.. mine max only 50kb/s.. im using streamyxx combo...

my fren at MMU Cyberjaya can reach till 400kb/s... damn

Hahaha, your friend must be really a clever student to use the internet connection in MMU Cyberjaya to download things.

I can tell you why your download is very very diffrent !!! Simple, MMU Cyberjaya internet speed is 16Mbps, currently being upgraded to 32Mbps. . Nice, right, Imagine you can have a 32Mbps connection ! Streamyx ? highest also available is 4mbps !!!

But MMU used OpenDNS so very unlikely you can use the speed because it block all downloading website, p2p and torrent even proxy !. So to get 400kB/s to download thing can be consider very lucky ad ! I am a MMU student, so i tried VPN and imagine what speed i get ? i was so happy 1.7mB/s !!! But only for a while before the OpenDNS start blocking again !

*Notice* if there are Any MMU Student out there, avoid downloading anything, you wont like to face the Information department officer if your are found out using internet illegally, trust me, it ear popping listening to lecture !

Added on September 3, 2008, 5:08 pmjust uninstall and reinstall ! that should fix it ! make sure you delete all the file in xunlei folder before reinstalling it.
I know that thunder.dll and most other .ddl in thunder folder is indeed very very hard to remove ! i used revo uninstaller which i make sure i delete all the file during uninstalling !

arghh... torrenting has been a headache to me lately. All torrent including those from d@ttebayo hardly reach more than 20kb/s

lucky i graduated and downloaded stuff early enough from MMU b4 this whole blocking thing happen
and yes, the dl speed in Cyber can be very high especially during sem breaks!

haha , haiz, now ppl in mmu suffer due to many blocking site ! especially when the IT class start, the speed drop to 50kbps. hahaha, sem break is happy season for me too

hey wanna ask u all something , actually i am using 1mpbs package and my speed is around 130kbps (not stable), average is around 101kbps and is that normal ?

besides that , the 1/2 connection really improve the download speed ?
and if does , anyone can teach me how to do it and i am using xunlei version V5.7.9.472 ... help is needed because i see my friend's download speed which is using 1mpbs his download can go up to 50kbps~60kbps even 1 seed is connected and when 2nd seed is connected the speed is 170kbps (MAX)

been using xunlei for quite sometime now. i dink it all comes back to the amt of seeders avail for that particular files ler...sometimes it can go up to 150kb/s for a file, sometimes it can be stagnanted at 0, nothing at one point. be it stimix throttle it or not, i keep my pc on 24/7. i paid for the $$$, i'm gonna max it out.

guys. i nid ur help. i just dwlded xunlei.. but my download doesnt want to start.. i got 300 + seeder.. n mine is private tracker. i dwld on utorrent can reach up to 200kb/s but xunlei max 6kb/s n always cant download.. whats wrong? issit the setting? i off upnp n the port mapped to 80.. so anymore settings? no firewall n etc.. my xp is for software test oni.. never install any firewall.. windows firewall all off..help plz
