Question: Is CCE Games open on Thursday (1 May)? It's Labour Day, just wondering if you guys are having a Public Holiday on that day?

Yes we are open, same time.

Speaking of public holiday, any organizer planning a tournament or sanctioned event this coming May 1?....I know its labor day but oh well :-)

We might be able to still run a Shadowmoor draft (need to check how many packs we have left though).

If you guys want a standard tournament, we can run one ad-hoc one, same rules as a Saturday FNM but without the FNM card.

RM5 per player (minimum 8) and packs for top half.

If you guys are game for it, i can make it happen.

what will happen when a creature with double strike and trample is blocked by a smaller creature?
and when wild ricochet copies a command spell, can i select the options available?

well u all got no more Shadowmoor packs now, coz the choosen 2 had witness the return of the king in CCE yesterday

question 1:

correct me if im wrong... since its blocked by a smaller creature... double strike with trample will get thru all the extra damage after assigning all lethal combat damage to all blockers
for instance... 4/4 double strike and trample blocked by a 1/1... first strike damage... assign 1 damage to the blocker... 3 damage goes thru to the player... normal combat damage another 4 damage gets thru to the player since the creature is dead
4/4 double strike without trample will not be able to assign any damage to player even tho the first strike kills the 1/1 creature... your 4/4 double strike creature is considered blocked

question 2:
this one im not sure... but i think... correct me if im wrong... 1st ability choose new target so u cannot choose the other options... 2nd ability u copy so u might get to choose... very unsure of this... im a noob anyways hahaha

The answer to the first question is correct.

As for the second question, the answer is no, you do not get to choose the mode. The copied spell is not played, but a copy of orginal spell. Whatever mode that was chosen will be copied. You can find similar ruling on starcitygames' ask the judge:

Q: I have Haakon, Stromgald Scourge in play; my opponent casts Cryptic Command to bounce Haakon and draw a card. In response, I play Twincast targeting Cryptic Command and choose to counter the first Cryptic Command and draw a card. I think that when the copy is played, you get to choose the modality of the copy, just like a normal Cryptic Command. Is this correct?

A: Actually no, the copy created by Twincast is put on the stack without being played. It is an exact copy and you do not get to choose different modes. This copy of Cryptic Command will have to target a permanent.

By popular demand, we're gonna run some small events at the shop on Labour's Day (1st May) this Thursday. As i can't predict the turnout, events will be on-demand with a minimum of 8 players to start.

Standard Tournament (Minimum 8)
Format: Standard 3 round swiss
Fee: RM5
Prize: 1st place 2 packs, and 1 pack each for top half

Shadowmoor Draft
We decided to break into our reserves (we had a a customer reservin 2 boxes) for you so we're running our popular drafts this Thursday!

Fee: RM30 per person
Format: Triple Shadowmoor Draft (Sanctioned - Keep what you draft)
Prizes: 2 packs 1st, 1 pack 2nd, and DCI foils all the way down to last place

We can accomodate up to two pods so be there early! We're currently sourcing for more packs before the official release so we can build up more pods for Thursday. This also means we wont be selling any packs on that day so just be patient and wait til Friday for the official release
