the prerelease mania sucked ;(
What happenned? Tell us about the metagame and the rounds. Did Faeries & Reveillark dominate? Or the U/G tempo? Or the Red Aggro / other weenies?

Btw, successfully qualified - now in the final set of players for the Championship biggrin.gif Wish me luck. Now, for some serious practice before the final.

Faeries dominated the meta.. but faeries wasnt much of a problem for my deck. Round 1 paired with the guy who got 1st in the final swiss round standings, transmute deck. Nothing much to say, his ancestral visions and card advantage just beat me down, 0-2. Round 2, Jason Yap, faeries. Went 2-0, game 2 topdecked a siege gang with him tapped out at 7 life. Round 3 Tommy (rdw), frustrating. Game 1 land screw, game 2 made a huge mistake, letting him threaten my cloudtresher and stomp me with it and 2 huge crushers. Round 4 paired with Melvyn i think? (faeries). Game 1 he got land screwed, g2 i had the perfect anti-faeie hand (cloudtresher, 2 sulfurous blast, many many burns), 2-0. Round 5 was a mirror match (Kuo Jian), 2-1. Game 1 got trashed, G2 and G3 won with land-d. Round 6 James Jude (rdw), 2-0. Game 1 played 3 primals, g2 primaled before he cast manabarbs, and took 5 to get a cloudtresher in play. overall performance, 4-2 ;(

Not sure what you are referring to, but heretic6 is the guy who went 4-2. Those are all the decks he beat / lost to.

His deck was probably R/G mana ramp? I think based on the S.Blast, Cloudthresher, Primal Command.

Round 1 - R/G vs Transmute deck (I am curious about this deck), 0-2
Round 2 - R/G vs Faeries, 2-0
Round 3 - R/G vs RDW, 0-2
Round 4 - R/G vs Faeries, 2-0
Round 5 - R/G vs R/G, 2-1
Round 6 - R/G vs RDW, 2-0

So his R/G went 2-0 vs Faeries, 1-1 vs RDW, 1-0 vs Mirror, 0-1 vs some sort of Transmute deck.

List the Transmute deck! Tell us about it!

Yup i was running mana ramp, Justin tongue.gif i didnt get the decklist, but it was U/G/b, using tolaria west to transmute out slaughter pacts/pact of negation/urborg whenever needed. He ran goyfs and tombstalker, with cryptic commands, rune snag and some other stuff, cant really recall. His deck should be up in deckcheck soon, since he made top8. Have to wait for them to post up the lists smile.gif

This is my tourney short recap ... im pilot UB Faries.

Round 1: vs. RDW (Jude James)
Match 1 - i got control of the game in the end with Mistbind Clique. Match 2 - my opponent was land flood all the way. Game: 1-0

Round 2: vs. Reanimator (Vincent Gan)
Match 1 - my opponent board control with Makeshift Mannequin and Cairn Wanderer. Match 2 - i manage to board control till the end and hit his live to 2 but Cairn Wanderer hit the board, there's nuttin i can do about it. Game: 1-1

Round 3: vs. Mono-G Elf Warrior (with Bitterblossom) (Chinese dude .. dunno his name)
Match 1 - He mulligan down to 5 cards and stuck with 2 lands all the way. Match 2 - my turn to mulligan as well, he has lands with some creature and keep on taking damages from Bitterblossom. I board control with 3 Cryptic Command on 3 turns. Game: 2-1

Round 4: vs. Reveillark Control (Hari)
Match 1 - Mulligan down to 5, did not have a good draw. Match 2 - same thing happen, mulligan again and did not have turn 2 Bitterblossom. I scoop. Game: 2-2

Round 5: vs. UB Faeries (Rogue) (Hari's fren)
Match 1 - My oppenent lands screwed and I just beat him down with my creatures. Match 2 - His turn to beat me down with all rogue faeries and he gain board control. Match 3 - He got many lands but his creature decided to take a break. Game: 3-2

Round 6: vs. Dragonstorm (another chinese dude .. Jo Lin or something)
Match 1 - this was very fast, my Bitterblossom cam in turn 2 and beatdown all the way. Match 2 - this match i made mistake, he cast 2 Rites of Flame and I did not bother to counter it, and when he played Dragonstorm, I countered the Dragonstorm but the storm effect let him play 3 Bogardan Hellkite. Match 3 - I did not have any cards to countered his Dragonstorm .. nuff said. Game: 3-3

Hope my recap is accurate smile.gif

Hope to do much better next time ...

This is my tourney short recap ... im playing my same old UW Rev Control

Round 1 : Nik Nadzru ( Mono Red )
Game 1 : Dodgy hand game 1 , i die to double shard volley.
Game 2 : i bring in 2 teferi`s moat , 1 aven riftwatcher , 3 wispmare.
i resolve teferi`s moat turn 4 , proceed with gain life and beating the shit outta him. Doesnt help him that he only reveals creatures for crusher.
Game 3 : I outplay Nik with multiple reveillarks , riftwatcher , venser and aven cloudskates. Nik regrets sb out the crushers and the p. red 2/4 guys ...

2-1

Round 2 : Wee Tim Liang ( UB Faeries Antoine Ruel )
Err ... basically this is my own deck he borrowed. So i he gives me an option to id , take the win or concede or anything. Decided just play it out , no regrets...
Game 1 : after much hit trading and creature trading he throngs for the win.
Game 2 : i bring in 3 wispmare , 2 crovax . Killing the bitterblossom screws him . Also then i drop crovax
making him unable 2 mistbind clique as well as a no of well times rune snags on my part
Game 3 : He is color screwed, and i get my key cards. Full advantage to take the win

2-1

Round 3 : Peter Lim ( Faeries UB Peter`s Version )
at this point i must say i have no confidence against this matchup. As faeries has great matchup against UW Rev. W.o SB normally i have a pretty slim chance of winning.

G1 : a pretty much walkthrough for peter. Considered offering him a deal for a id but figured just play it out . Nothing to lose.
G2 : both of us have a slow hand but in the end i prevail as well as his own damage 2 bitterblossom kills him
G3 : A very bad hand. Now that i think about it , i shld have mulliganed. But 1 hour of sleep does that to you. You dont think , u just play . So he resolves turn 3 scion of oona , im ready 2 steal it turn 4 , but he resolves turn 4 another scion making my 2 sowers + 1 vesuvan shapeshifter useless in my hands. Naturally i die to a scion of oona x2 + mutavault 4/4 beat down. Cant top deck a Wrath and he has enough counters.

1-2

Round 4 : Karry Lim ( Faeries Again - Karry`s version )
G1 : Karry mulligans to 5 cards. Still has a bad hand i think. And i beat him for the win
G2 : Again Karry mulligans and i beat him down. He dies 2 land screw and stuff

2-1

Round 5 : Hafiz ( BG Elves )
G1 : Hafiz makes a lot of mistakes , so do i but i beat him down for the win
G2 : i bring in 1 crovax , 2 teferi`s moat , 1 pull from eternity. I make a lot of mistakes due to not keeping track of my life . But somehow i manage to win coz i top deck and he doesnt draw any removers.

Round 6 : Vincent Gan ( Reanimator )
At this point im way too tired. i See my tiebreakers. If i id there is a chance i wont make t8. IF i play one of us wont make t8. Cant be bothered. ID go for lunch .

Come back deck check and then langgar tiang . Haha ... opened my 2 boosters , gt my 1 wanderwine hub. Yay missing 1 now ...

Go dota then go home drop dead asleep wake up now 4am tongue.gif

yo! graveyard hate doesnt kill the deck. 20 counters or nt drawing a wog kills it. haha ..... anyways i think my performance was great since i only had 1 hour sleep the day before .i shld have played against vincent gan. but pre sb is a very tough game & post sb is an even matchup.i ws already tired & a game against him will require 100% concentration . better id & go dota. haha .. this deck sadly only has given me 9th &10th placing each time. haha .... btw ill pay rm15 fr
