i brought my mum to see the 5800 ap set just now cos she wants to get one for herself.

she loved it straight away "very easy to use wor" she said.

the guy quoted us rm1550.

mum was on the right path when she said "its ok.. ill wait 2 more weeks to get the ori set when it launches"
*
u seems to have the anti-AP set sentiment, may i know why blush.gif

Anybody tried updating their AP sets to the newest firmware? Any luck?

Just tried my soon-to-go-outstation dad's 5800, and yeah, it has the "cannot add birthday to contacts" bug as well... hmm.gif

The newly out firmware update supposedly addresses this... biggrin.gif

Oh, and watch out for the sudden shifts in colour vibrancy (the blacks become brownish all of a sudden) on the display... It's happening over here too, albeit very rarely... Another firmware bug? biggrin.gif

I was quoted RM1,780 for AP set in Carrefour, Kepong just now; way too high from the current RM1,4xx pricing. Looks like can't get it as Christmas present; perhaps as Chinese New Year present.

lol..with that price i think can get zitron already ..

Try copying the installer to your phone and install from your phone itself.. and also try to change the year from 2008 to 2007 before installing.. hope it can solve your problem  icon_rolleyes.gif

Planning to buy this phone over n85, few questions first:

1. Can browse video on dailymotion or other "tube" site or not? Smooth or not ?

2. If install a lot of symbian software will it be lagging ?
