But I thought form-6 should be the cheapest option than opting for colleges? Way cheaper, I mean.

Why don`t you try to apply scholarships with your result?Or the community service example DAP/MCA and ask regarding this!
I mean they will help you a bit in financial~~so you have stop studying?

If so poor, go ask for PIBG help. I'm not joking.

F6 study with notes also can survive one. I believe if you're really that poor, the teachers will do their best to assist you in whatever way they can if you just tell them about it.

When there's a will, there's a way, yo.

Am in form 6.

Just do revision if your teachers are good.
Then no need to study few hours a day.
But if teachers not good ah, really need few hours.
No kidding.

Even holidays also got assignments sad.gif
But no regrets. Learn a lot in form 6.

However, I would opt for private coll like TARC if i were you.
Gov skul teachers are just too weak nowadays.
If you insist on going gov skul, prepare to pay for tuition fees anyway.

And if you are not interested in local uni, JUST TAKE A LEVELS.
Form 6 is tough not because of the syllabus but because you have to take the exam after 2 years.

Seriously, 2 years stuff all depend on ONE EXAM? Die man.

F6 may be really tough but its well worth all the effort put into it as one will be able to learn alot nod.gif
And the knowledge learnt will be used (again) during College/Uni level, so those who worked hard during F6 will have much easier College/Uni life hehe brows.gif
Anyway, people always say that for normal people in Malaysia, STPM is the hardest exam in their lives... Very true, Uni exams are way easier than STPM doh.gif

^ not true. STPM/ A Levels make the transition easier compared to foundation students. It doesn't make the exams easier. I know it because I'm living it. (Maybe standards differ from one university to another).

No regret. But if I have the chance to choose for my pre-u again, I won't consider form 6, ever.

Form 6 is a flaw in our education system. But it can test one's will power to the (almost) maximum level.

stpm is what separate the men (and women) from the boys (and girls).

but then, you are basically exchanging time (3 years - due to dumb intake schedule where you have 1 year holiday if you follow the normal spm-stpm-ipta route) with money.

STPM is the only diamond left in our education system, but sadly its casted on the wall next to rubbish bin, not on platinum ring.

I've already finished my Uni haha laugh.gif
Yeah, you're probably right, standards and syllabus may differ... maybe the fundamentals of biology are the same regardless of which uni one is studying in... which makes life much easier if one has strong basics (learnt from F6 ^^) thumbup.gif

Look on the bright side, those who actually work hard during F6 will gain more benefits than their counterparts nod.gif

Have a few answers here =)

1. Did you regret for going thru form 6??izzit really so tough like others said?
- Nope. I don't think I have any. I couldn't have afforded the luxury (?) of private colleges.
- I tell people who considers Form 6 that it's really tough. So does all my friends. But in all honesty, no, it's not THAT tough. It probably was THAT tough back in the 80's, early 90's.. But it sure is much tougher than an SPM students considers SPM.
- I have 16 students in my class. That's at least 16 birthday parties thrown - each with it's own cake! And there's the end of the year parties etc etc.

2. Can share some experiences on your study? izzit really a MUST to study everyday for few hours??
- I go to school everyday, until when the teachers have finished with the syllabus. I still go to school when my friends tell me that the teachers are gonna give some past year questions , exercises etc.
- I took tuition classes for all subjects - except for MUET. So I guess, i do study outside of school for a few hours everyday.
- I rarely study at home. Group studies never took off. I mean, we met up but it was always a few hours spent in chatter and food. So I guess, other than school and tuition, I don't study. But then, I did, took a month or two before STPM to self-study - in the library.

3. What subjects should be taken in science stream?
-Physics/Bio (or both)
-Maths T
-Chemistry
-PA
-MUET

4. The most important thing, can I still apply for uni(such as Utar) if I din do well or sumore even worst failed in stpm?
- Failed? if you mean 0.00 CGPA then, I think you would have to retake a pre-U course.
- If you get low CGPA, for e.g, CGPA below 2.0, you can still apply and qualify. But you would have to take extra courses. Like a friend of mine, she got something below 2.0 and applied to UTAR. She had to take a Maths course because she failed Maths during STPM.
