I've upgrade my tele lens from EF-S 55-250 IS to 70-200 f4 IS and recently 70-200 f2.8 IS. If u have the moolah, just take the 70-200 f2.8 IS. I love every bit of this lens. Quite regret didn't bought it at the first place because i lost money when upgrade from time to time. The only drawback was i wish it wight just like the f4 IS..

Unfortunately I hate my C16-35mm f2.8 L II, C24-70mm f2.8 L, C70-200mm f2.8 L IS USM and C100-400mm f4.5-5.6 L IS. I'm always with my primes due to their weight, sharpness and bokeh. smile.gif

got L lens-18-200-like but for full frame.
the EF28-300L laugh.gif

hybrid IS still a new tech leh...don't think canon can switch all their IS unit to IS II for every IS lens.
take time and money to do&research them.

Hybrid IS was designed more for macro lenses; that's why you don't see it on other lenses... even the new 70-200 II does not have it.

haiyah digi dude simply say.

he say "for full frame" meaning in order to get something like 18-200 range, you'll need to use the 28-300L on full frame la.

you still can use it on non FF body like 7D. Just remember the basic.

EF - can use on FF / non-FF bodies
EF-S can only use on non-FF bodies

understand better? so EF 28-300 works on non-FF body but it'll work like 44mm - 480mm or something along that range (i lz to use calculator calculate 1.6x crop factor la. estimated with 1.5 with add a bit).

Why not, as long it's EF or EF-s it's usable.

24-70 on APS-C is damn nice, as long as i'm not required to go wide.
