wimax services? - no idea havent try

This is my 1week using Maxis, so far i played few games in Garen@ (Dota) also no lag and DC yet. I ping to host usually get 7x to 9x ms.

But still the new policy (line cut after quota) will make many people POTONG.

I used to get above 1Mbps download speed before
but now only able to get 147kbps download speed!

month ago i was on Celcom(basic package) but its speed is aroung 110-220kbps only
and i often have to connect wifi hospot to get higher speed.

now change to Maxis BB thinking Maxis can provide higher speed so that i don't need connect wifi hotspot anymore.
but why now this Maxis BB (no speed cap package) is also same like Celcom basic package???
now is the start of the month January so it can't be because i reach data volume quota.

Maxis is a total nonsense. Do not use Maxis Broadband nor phone line. I was a Maxis user for 8 years and all I can say is I regret being a Maxis user. No benefit at all for loyal users like me. Even their broadband sucks like hell slow as snail. Btw, I live in BANGSAR. Maxis cheats you.

How and what Maxis cheated you?

*I went to the Maxis center to cancel it. You have be firm with them.
Things to mention/argue about
- maxis cannot introduce such a big change to the service without informing the customer
- according to terms and conditions if Maxis changes the Service or the T&C, customer has a right to cancel the service if the customer does not agree with the new terms and conditions. But this must be done soon after the change in the service/t&c
- say that the reason you signed up was because of Maxis only throttle the speed after you reach the cap, and if you knew they would cut off the internet connection after reaching cap then you would not have signed up

*The Customer Service called up the management and the management agreed to waive the penalty as long as I returned everything including the box and pay off the outstanding.

I guess he's ranting because he's not getting what he suppose to pay for.

You pay for something higher than a Streamyx fixed line plus rental and not getting anything near the package speed.
Of course he'll get mad.

Well im cannot access internet via laptop... They implement this very strictly... Last resort is... Im pop in the sim in my nokia n66 using old opera mini...ver 4... And connect successfully...

if use ur nokia as modem then surf on ur laptop also cannot?

So that's mean it's possible to by pass? Or only sometimes can by pass it?

i use toonel, it work for me but just for a reminder..it is super slow (better than no internet at all)
