Still playing with my board, actually got some issue with playing videos maybe codec related though.Thinking of upgrading my oem vista ultimate to retail and install 64 bit wonder if there is any boost in performance. As of now just a mild OC, cstkl ask me to find my own ngam2 settings ='(

Just upgraded my P5E running P5E 702 BIOS to RAMPAGE BIOS

So far so good. Overclock Q6600 to 3.6 GHZ stable after 30 minutes of blend prime95. Before this can only reach 3.52 stable. Uses much lower Vcore also.

Just got Asus P5Q-Pro + Core2Duo E8400 + 4 gigs Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 + Zotac 8800GT + WD 500G x2 RAID 0

so far very satisfied with the board. Able to overclock to 4 GHz (9x fsb 445) effortlessly , no change in vcore.

only thing is Temps high. Using Lian Li PC-07 + Gemini II (2 fans+ Artic Cool-MX2) idle temps 40 C but after orthos for 15 minutes temps max at 64 c. I think can overclock more but don't dare becoz of temps. Funny though, heatsink mildly warm only.

any how...3Dmark 2006 is 13200+

What are your experience with the Rampage 403 bios. For my higher OC with lower voltage compared to the P5E 702 bios. Also, it solves my game instability problem. Dirt will always hang and Prostreet cannot run at all. After changing the bios, no problem with either games.

MY specs:

P5E @ Rampage BIOS
Q6600 @ 3.6
Vcore 1.48
Sappire 3870 CF

You mean the bad batch is my CPU or my Gemini II cooler.... unsure.gif .....I tightened the bolt for the cooler the best I can.....I am not sure if it may damage the CPU or MOBO if i twist any further. Thanks for ur suggestion though smile.gif

I heard that CPU temps in 8400 can be wacky....how is ur temps?

Personally, I still prefer the standard version since I don't have any compatibility issue with memory at all.

I just upgraded my P5K SE to P5Q Deluxe. Gonna try the OC soon. Current temperature while running EPU-6 engine(will add overclocked temp later):

With air conditioning:

Edit: After overclocking, went Vista after having some issues with sound running at default PCI speed on XP. Comp doesn't start when it's more than 366mhz and I get overclocking failed after powering it off and on. I think it's my power supply. Gonna have to get a better power supply and water cooling to test it's true potential. sad.gif 366mhz bus went 68C and I got scared. However, the vcore didn't drop when I have the EPU-6 on. Stressed it at 333mhz and this is the result for Asus Silent Knight II and this board after an hour with air conditioning on.
