OC result,not impressive at all.only 3.0GHz

Overall, P35 chipset setting is about the same with this board. With this board, I can achieve higher FSB oc, and RAM with much higher bandwidth. It is great board.

For instance, I can boot into windows with same voltage (3.8ghz) than 3.6ghz in P5K Deluxe (can orthos 8 hours). However, If I want to orthos, that require much more voltage.

For RAM oc, I can achieve 1150 (4x1gb ballistix) in Rampage than 1070 in P5Deluxe in 2.2v.

I found out from other website (forget where it is), saying VID high, can achieve FSB higher. where as VID low, will make the cpu require less voltage to achieve higher Ghz. Not sure this is true or not.

i dont think so but my vid is high,i still can hit low vcore with high clock speed and can go 4ghz too with same proc.
but i can make sure that mobo is playing important role.

I mean higher FSB means 500Mhz per multiplier.

Hi P5K-SE/EPU user reporting..

Got problem with CPU temperature at 1st place..going up to 70C at idle

Then replace stock fan with CM Hyper 212 and now it detect temperature at 35C at idle . Overclock a bit for 20% and the temperature still at 35C .Try to OC for 40% but fail after few try.Any suggestion to improve for cpu temperature detection?

tested two boards and find them faulty with all the bios.. beta/public/engineer..

i'm using P5KR rite now.. haven't update my sig quite some time already.. well, my mobo just got back from rma.. LoL.. apparently the "press reset to reset bios" didn't work after countless times of resets...
the last time i did was bout 530 FSB using D9GKX rams on my e6300 rig..

You tried PCI-E frequency increased from 100 to 110 like most people do. Didn't do any benchmark. I heard overclocking this exceed certain number will makes SB crash. I also saw a lot people recommend overclock PCI-E frequency up to 115 for ATI card. Not sure nVidia card.
