I guess you can set all the setting to AUTO and then switch to Manual one by one once you have familiar with the option.
bro...noticed u r using the rampage...how's urs doing? any good setting to share with me. ASUS motherboard overclocking discussion, ASUS mb owners come to discuss here.

QUOTE(remysix @ May 16 2008, 03:37 PM) Overall, P35 chipset setting is about the same with this board. With this board, I can achieve higher FSB oc, and RAM with much higher bandwidth. It is great board.For instance, I can boot into windows with same voltage (3.8ghz) than 3.6ghz in P5K Deluxe (can orthos 8 hours). However, If I want to orthos, that require much more voltage. For RAM oc, I can achieve 1150 (4x1gb ballistix) in Rampage than 1070 in P5Deluxe in 2.2v. |

QUOTE(AceCombat @ May 16 2008, 11:24 PM) I found out from other website (forget where it is), saying VID high, can achieve FSB higher. where as VID low, will make the cpu require less voltage to achieve higher Ghz. Not sure this is true or not. |

@ahsiah
i dont think so but my vid is high,i still can hit low vcore with high clock speed and can go 4ghz too with same proc. but i can make sure that mobo is playing important role. |

i'm using P5KR rite now.. haven't update my sig quite some time already.. well, my mobo just got back from rma.. LoL.. apparently the "press reset to reset bios" didn't work after countless times of resets...
the last time i did was bout 530 FSB using D9GKX rams on my e6300 rig.. as long as i could remember these were the settings used: AI Overclocking: Manual CPU ratio Control: Manual FSB frequency: 530 PCI-E Frequency: 100 DRAM Frequency: 1060Mhz DRAM Command Rate: 2T DRAM Timing Control: Manual CAS# Latency: 5 RAS# to CAS# Delay: 5 RAS# Precharge: 5 RAS# Activate to Precharge: 18 DRAM Static Read Control: Disabled CPU Spread Spectrum: Disabled PCI-E Spread Spectrum: Disabled CPU Voltage: 1.4750v CPU Voltage Reference: Auto CPU Voltage Damper: Enabled CPU PLL Voltage: 1.6 DRAM Voltage: 2.25v NorthBridge Voltage: 1.55v is there a difference overclocking the PCI-E frequency? Added on May 24, 2008, 12:00 ambtw, i don't see modded bioses with the new mobos nowadays.. reminiscing my old nf7-s days~ This post has been edited by neurra: May 24 2008, 12:00 AM |

Added on May 24, 2008, 12:00 ambtw, i don't see modded bioses with the new mobos nowadays.. reminiscing my old nf7-s days~ You tried PCI-E frequency increased from 100 to 110 like most people do. Didn't do any benchmark. I heard overclocking this exceed certain number will makes SB crash. I also saw a lot people recommend overclock PCI-E frequency up to 115 for ATI card. Not sure nVidia card.
