QUOTE(cristiano7mu @ Apr 3 2009, 12:22 PM) err...yes...Summary is...started Trulli overshot that corner... Lewis over took him, he taught Trulli had a problem...the toyota slowed down, went off track Lewis calls in...pitwall needs to check with race director (who is busy to answer any questions) Lewis say Trulli has pass him...Lewis did let him pass (what else could he do?...ram him to the side?) But Lewis did not slow down. Lewis say thats Trulli can't do that? Pitwall insist that Lewis maintain his position until the end of the race. Can't get through to Charlie Whiting. McLaren will look into it after the race...and that what they did...and got themselves DQ. This post has been edited by azbro: Apr 3 2009, 12:42 PM |

McLaren have confirmed that Dave Ryan, their sporting director at the heart of the controversy surrounding Lewis Hamilton's disqualification from the Australian GP, has been suspended.

Poor scapegoat...actually, they wanted to suspend Lewis...but if they do that (and in the absence of De la Rosa), Martin Whitmarsh has to drive the F1 car!!
...nolah...just joking |

Whoever that made the decision to lie to the stewards should be suspended (tq Ryan, for all this mess, or whoever it is, if Ryan's a scapegoat).
It doesn't matter whether the stewards did their job or not, there should not have been any lies (simple principle of not doing anything wrong, so that you can't be picked on). Hamilton might've gotten a place swap straightaway, and not cause a 25s penalty to Trulli. About whether Trulli sped past Hamilton (with or without him slowing down), i think we need Toyota's radio and telemetry to fully confirm that. (anyone claiming they're eyewitness is not hard evidence). McLaren fan since the 1st Sepang race here This post has been edited by suki: Apr 4 2009, 01:58 AM |

with the amount of technicalities in the race and the relative subjectivity of the people leading the investigation, i won't be surprise if other teams get caught in such controversy....
F1 is getting more and more bring.. and it's not because of the lack of overtakings as claimed by bernie.. it's because of the mountain of rules FIA & FOA is trying to implement and enforce. |

FIA could just change the perspective of the story based on Trullis 'words'.
McLaren telemetry shows that he didn't slow down...so end of the story...Trulli overtook during SC... But nooo...FIA wanna take it further..hence the suspension and apologies...cause what ever daddy say...children must follow..right or wrong. Now everyone can have a good at Lewis...especially angel boy Alonso. Pity the common man...it as simple as Trulli overshot and then resort to overtake back his position during Safety car...so he should be given a penalty... But then life is not as simple as that right? Anyway..its a waste of time, wayang only....F1 is turning out to be like WWE! |

That's the real reason many people are pissed off. By taking back the original decision, they are basically saying that "hey, the stewards, that we have appointed, and headed by former Ferrari lawyer Donelli, had made a mistake that they should not have done if they have done their job in this technichally awesome sport".It doesn't matter whether the stewards did their job or not, there should not have been any lies (simple principle of not doing anything wrong, so that you can't be picked on). Anyone knows when the weight report will release? The underdogs rule yet again? This post has been edited by AskarPerang: Apr 4 2009, 08:41 PM |
