hi byfreezer,
Mr. Darshan from NCCC just call me, he received your email. He is now hoping more and more people ca email him about maxis complaints.
Byfreezer, will that be possible for you to put up a sample format that you did for your complaint? because according to him , your complaint is very details and that is that kind of information he will need when dealing with maxis.
thanks.
cindygirl8888, please send my regards to Mr Darshan for helping us out in this matter.
Instead of sitting on your chair and let the Big Snake cut your throat, please send a complain letter to Mr. Darshan to make sure he got enough bullets when dealing with the Big Snake. Please help him to help yourself!
To NCCC,
My name is [Your Name Here] ( IC: [Your IC] ), and I'm a
frustrated Maxis Wireless Broadband user of the RM98 Power Package. My
intention of writing this email to NCCC because of the frustration gave
to me by the Maxis Wireless Broadband that I'm subscribing now. Even
with many complains that I've made , Maxis still don't let me
terminate the service without paying them the penalty fees which cost
more than RM1K. The solution that I'm seeking is to terminate without
being penalized by the so called "agreement" that never exist during
sign-up. The reason why I must cancel this broadband internet service
provided by maxis is because of the following reasons:
1) Constant disconnect 24/7.
2) Hard to connect to MSN Messenger (Part of my communication path
with clients and lecturers ), even if successfully connected, the
messenger client will eventually disconnect.
3) Could not browse properly on certain sites, such as youtube. Can't
even load a single second of any video. And sometimes my Gmail cannot
load properly as well.
4) Subscribed to 3.6Mbps which is RM98 per month, but ended up slower
than a 384Kbps package which is RM68 per month.
5) 99% of the customer service assistants are very rude and not
knowledgeable to assist user to solve the problem most of the time.
6) Constantly busy help line that can't hardly get connected.
7) Extremely slow browsing experience during night time due to their
service being over subscribed.
8) So called "Unlimited" but monthly bandwidth usage being set to
20GB, if limit exceeded, speed will be capped at 256Kbps until next
billing date.
9) Misleading advertisements (Advertisement attached, obtained from
http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/pic/broad...ew/slide7_2.jpg )
10) Agreement never shown to me before sign-up. And the promoter
insisted its "Unlimited Internet Service" and no blocking on P2P.
11) Blockage on 99% ports and P2P, making tons of software and online
games not runnable, I could not download any Linux distribution thru
P2P.
Of all the above problems that Maxis Wireless Broadband gave me, I
always wonder: What I can do with my broadband, since so many things
are not working? The answer is Nothing I Can Do With It! It's just an
expensive internet service that can only browse webpages as slow as a
56K dial-up internet.
The attachment of this email included a misleading ad from maxis and a
few speedtest after my speed being capped at 256Kbps when exceeded
20GB limitation in the third week of March 2008. I truly hope that NCCC
could help me to terminate this problematic broadband service without
being penalized by the unfair penalty.
As a reference, can go to this thread of mine in a local well known
forum called Lowyat.net,
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/656354 to look at all the complains on the maxis wireless broadband, and by
the way, maxis already aware on this thread.
Thank you very much, in case need further information, can contact me
through cellphone or email.
