iirc you need to swap manifolds, ecu and intake pipe. manifold bracket might be different too.

RCrex, R3 Neo 135hp is on engine, not on wheel, on wheel probably 115-120 only. and the money you have to spent to win it is madness, btw don 4get your car is auto, i don think can do much different.

You can check out Satria thread, a guys named Sam, his Neo also auto, he do port and polish, hi-cam, exhaust, etc, but still the result is not impressive.

and, btw, why you go aim for that R3 Neo ? laugh.gif .. can you change your goal to something like Satria R3 or GTi ? laugh.gif

Which is by current official workshop labor charges isn't going to be really worth it. I'd say doing tuning work on it with piggybacks is a better option together with changing driving practices.

And the CPS head, well for now unless someone churns out more aggressive cam lobes profiles for high cam mode, it's gonna be hard to justify going for CPS.

but IAFM is feasible enough. its actually a separate module which bolts on to the original Campro engine with minor mods

That's why laaa. I'd say proper lateral thinking and tuning would fix some of the S4PH ori's flaws. One would be airflow characteristics since IMHO, that airbox system seems a wee bit pressure robbing (Can anyone verify this using a manometer measuring the beginning of the intake piping and at the inlet of TB?) as well as fuel mapping tuning

Isn't easy as that because therein lies a few questions:

1.) How much is the whole system gonna cost parts wise? (Manifold, ECU [hopefully one can use the original wiring loom and hook up a few extra external wiring], and necessary brackets)

2.) Will the job be covered under P1's warranty scheme? (If still under warranty la)

3.) How much labor time required?

4.) Will Service Dept. even sell you the parts?

if its under warranty should be no problem. if its under warranty and owners can opt for a new CPS crate engine, then its the best case scenario. either that or get all the afflicted drivers to come together and class-action p1...if they have the resources la.

Better we file a clas action suit on a biscuit crankshaft then upgrade with IAFM or CPS

Case 1:

Case 2: More serious, pistons damaged oo

Case 1 and case 2 owners already transplant mivec, third case rebuilt with second hand crank

was the job done correctly? everybody claims to do p&p, even monkeys with a die grinder can do it tongue.gif but to do a proper job, u'll need to flow the head. as for exhaust, there is some calculation involved, get it right and u'll hit the jackport, get it wrong and u'll be in the shitport tongue.gif as for a modded cps, even when we race in the malaysian super series, variable valve cars have to weigh in at 1000kg, non variable valve cars can weigh in at only 800kg........
