i know this might not be a best place to ask but can someone help anyway? i got myself a Cosair 620w Modular. Was wondering if this PSU can handle GTX260 SLI?
i went and use a the power calculator and it told me my specs need 530w at 100% load. that means it is actually possible. no more budget to change to a more powerful PSU.

my specs:
Core 2 Duo E8400
Asus P5ND
1 x 2GB DDR2-800 Kingston
XFX GTX260
Cosair HX620w Modular
1 DVD/RW
1 320gb 7200rpm Sata2 HDD

3 x 120mm LED Silent Fan
1 x 120mm Silent Standard
1 x 80mm Silent Standard

will this system be too much for the 620w PSU to take if i were to run SLi?

Hmm guys I've got a question...I'm currently running 2 x Zotac 9600GT Amp! cards on SLI and in truth I am very happy with the performance but the price of the new 9800GTX+ is very tempting....just wanna ask is it worth it to sell off my 2 x Zotac 9600GT Amp! cards and switch to a single 9800GTX+ instead ? hmm.gif

What about the 9800GTX+ ? Should be better than 9800GTX right ? 9800GTX+ around RM799 only drool.gif

@kebergz: Probably can try the 9500GT ?

177.41 is a nice driver already...

but i am more inclined to 177.73, which is an OEM driver, contains the necessry stuff to install properly without any mods, and seems to be more stable than generic ones (to me on Vista x64 at least...)

performance rise slightly and power consumption dropped slightly...

clearly the potential of G92 has already been maxed out, switching to 55nm doesn't help much

http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?opti...d=152&Itemid=72, u can refer to this website, 9800 gtx X2 is very powerful card , two times power than 9800 GTX , for the money it is worth .

piskin unfortunately my pocket ain't that deep to afford a 9800GX2 sweat.gif probably I might just go for a single 9800GTX+ and get a 2nd card to SLI when it gets too lousy in future tongue.gif Btw what do you guys think of the 9800GT ? seems more value for money than the 4850 now with it being cheaper but performance wise comparable to the 4850. flex.gif

well i guess you can, but bear in mind it's gonna make the card run at higher temps, and sometimes if you oc over it's limit it can spoil the card. can cause artifacts, or even worse, your card might not boot up at all..

maybe they got a bulk cheap purchase & want to sell it off in large quantity? maybe just like the Foxconn 9800GX2 which was selling at RM950 last 2 weeks at a particular shop in lowyat. it sure got clear out fast. i wanted to grab one but was too late...
