QUOTE(akagidemon @ Aug 5 2008, 08:50 AM) thanks for the info. 177.41 is a nice driver already...what is the newest driver for the 8600m gt card? i downloaded the 177.41 driver but i am reluctant to install it. but i am more inclined to 177.73, which is an OEM driver, contains the necessry stuff to install properly without any mods, and seems to be more stable than generic ones (to me on Vista x64 at least...) Added on August 5, 2008, 10:49 pm QUOTE(sigheart @ Aug 5 2008, 07:27 PM) What about the 9800GTX+ ? Should be better than 9800GTX right ? 9800GTX+ around RM799 only performance rise slightly and power consumption dropped slightly...@kebergz: Probably can try the 9500GT ? clearly the potential of G92 has already been maxed out, switching to 55nm doesn't help much This post has been edited by astria: Aug 5 2008, 10:49 PM |

CUDA:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CUDA PhyX takes up some GPU power to render... if the game support PhyX, u'll see improvements, else, u re wasting the GPU resource... |

QUOTE(S4PH @ Oct 25 2008, 05:37 PM) i guess nvidia haven optimise the 9800GX2 for farcry2 yet maybe soon nvidia fans will get huge improvement.9800GX2 aint no card 2 mess around with its 1 damn powerfull card. Forceware 180 series is optimised for Far Cry 2...latest is 180.43, but take note these are non WHQL... only GeForce GTX 200s, GeForce 9 (whole family) and GeForce 8800 series are supported |

AA means making the graphic less jagged, thus making the images look better...
on or not is up to u and the game u play... but remember AA takes up GPU resources also... |

HDMI was designed for AV equipment in the first place... it's basically DVI+Audio with thinner cable...
