sordanny,
search the Net 1st on the Shared IP connection to understand how it works
one thing that i can share here is that you can get MAX. speed from 3.30am to 8am.
then the speed went back to normal during Office Hours

NO telco can give u 3.6mbps for 3G broadband... biggrin.gif
The term MAX. speed here is >200 kbps if downloading using IDM
try to browse the earlier posts, u will see the screenshot of this by forumers

Normal here is about > 1mbps if tested via SpeedTest. Lot of examples that u can find at SpeedTest on this
BUT, it depends on the location where u are testing it.
Not that i don't warm u first; some places will get better signal than others

yup... speed is too subjective and the Download Hosting Server will plays a role as well
whether u r using P2P, direct download will contribute to the downloading experience as well
I have used Maxis BB and UM at my Puchong place. So far, my vote goes to UM as I have dumped my Maxis aldy biggrin.gif

how ur connection when in UMTS? if my connection in UMTS means i cant do anything.. even login yahoo messenger
*
well, i reckon the signal of the UMTS, HSDPA as shown in the ZTE software is not reliable for UM
when u see the UMTS, try to minimize and maximize it again; u will see HSDPA again biggrin.gif
speed wise, it's the same for me. no disconnection issue

QUOTE(digilife @ Feb 28 2009, 05:06 PM)
as far as i knoe, most U-Mobile bb users here are fr the klang Valley

i am the only one here fr Seremban and abt Ipoh, i guess none. Correct me if i am wrong.
abt USB modem, any users here try connecting wif Huawei modem, if yes how to do the settings.

i tot of buying the celcom promo usb modem at rm399 as a backup modem juz incase my ZTE MF622 burns out
*
as long as u follows the config as shown below, u will able to use the Huawei
from my friend's sharing, the Huawei modem can become quite hot if it was used for long period; as compared to ZTE

normally will only take 1 day to process the application if u do it at their Cust. Service Center
rm88/month was not finalized yet. as Digi 3G may play a role in determining the final fee.
u know lah, competition.

for 3G broadband, it will not roam to Celcom
it's only applicable for call service only, not data service (3G broadband)

just buy urself a flashed usb modem...
the setting with UM or DG is almost the same...
most likely it's just the APN and dialed no is different only...

one thing about DG is that it's still new
u will not know if they are giving the same speed after 1-2 months later when more ppl are using it later

QUOTE(yshear @ Mar 9 2009, 10:40 PM)
hi guys, i faced the same problem as adammale...
in order to " test run" to check the U 3g connectivity and stability in my area, i had bought the U MOBILE PREPAID, slot it into my existing HUAWEI E220 USB MODEM, but unfortunately fail to connect. The error msg is smth like that : "A connection to remote computer failed to establish, so the port was closed......."

I had configured what lelynx show, but still fail to connect...

any advice??? icon_question.gif
