that's why i always tell people that it *depends on location* if u can get a decent speed or not when u r using maxis, um, digi, celcom 3G... u will *never* get the same speed with others whom are using the same service

speed for recent days between 9-12pm is really bad Added on March 20, 2009, 11:03 amsome real competition from DG... some more contract-free as well... i reckon UM have to buck up their services should they want to stay in the BB market... This post has been edited by lelynx: Mar 20 2009, 11:03 AM

for those whom are still linking SialCom with UM on the Data Service, please read the earlier postings for more info. on this. UM is NOT sharing any Data Service with SialCom as only those areas with UM-3G coverage can enjoy SurfWithU.

UM will be soon changing their rates for its Call Service to a cheaper one not sure if Data Service will enjoy the same benefit or not

better try out the prepaid 1st to test out the signal there like some people (from the earlier postings), they can tolerate the so-called *slow* connection at night

personally, i will judge the download speed by IDM (with 8 simultaneous download on a single file) bad = < 50 Kbps average = 100 - 150 Kbps (normally achievable within office hours) superb = > 200 Kbps (odd hours around midnight) the highest record of mine on IDM is 250 Kbps!!! speedtest.net can't really give me the exact speed test as i always get >1Mb/s This post has been edited by lelynx: Jun 22 2009, 04:29 PM
