not sure the speed from torrenting/p2p.
if unsure, get umobile broadband on prepaid to try.

capping = FUP
official FUP starts at 5GB, but it seems users only noticed reduced speed around 15GB bonus to users! |

well, umobile broadband works better for me (wherever i go).
so, it suits me. if u're heavy user (24/7 download i dont reach 5GB FUP, so no experience of being throttled. remember, any wireless broadband has one major factor: LOCATION u may enjoy good performance with umobile, or u may not at all. <-- that's where ur Prepaid subscription comes in |

@lagolago,
to add on mitodna's question: what plan r you subscribing? assuming you r not using UB68 (unlimited) plan, you can chk the data volume balance: http://www.u.com.my/faqs/u-broadband-prepaid [About Usage, point #1) note: balance chk on prepaid/postpaid is the same (for non-UB68 plan). if you r using UB68 plan, call up umobile CS to enquire the following: 1) what is the current data volume usage 2) why the poor performance |

QUOTE(maximus_masta @ May 21 2010, 08:28 AM) For surfing the net should be no issue. Speed is still acceptable if and only there are no files being download that time. remmeber last time when we were using dial-up? using tmnet 1515 or jaring 1511? But since I am heavy downloader typo it really kill me when speed been capped....anyhow compare to other BB and Stremyx...UM definately the best for me Last nite highest DL speed I get only 15-20kbs.... even at 45-50kbps usable speed (at 56k dialup), we still manage to download stuffs we are definitely spoiled with high-speed connection |

officially ade fup lah.
just that most users get throttled when they hit 20GB or more (??) unlimited = no extra charges, so u pay rm68/mth and download all u want FUP onli limits the speed not volume. |
