Guys, this question just came up in my mind. All iPhones are overseas units, so the USB power plug adapter is according to US wall plug. How do you guys use the plug, or just charge with power supplied from PC/Mac to USB cable?

QUOTE(Mike3300 @ Mar 15 2008, 05:21 AM) u can easily plug it to the adapter that can be found at supermarket and electrical stores.or if u wanna buy the plug head, u can get the travel kit at Apple retail. if u notice, the adapter's head is removable and interchangeable. well, after i go thru every tutorial, this is the summary.
Currently i have otb 1.1.2,4.6BL. In order to convert to 1.1.4 firmware.. only 2 method i can choose. 1. Unlock 1.1.4 and Downgrade to 3.9-fakeblank iPhone Bootloader 2. Unlock 1.1.2-1.1.4 iPhones with ZiPhone 2.5 GUI (Windows) 1st method: iplus2.0b, using fakeblank 3.9, which allows for restoration to 4.6. 2nd method: ziphone, downgrade to 3.9BL, CANT restore to 4.6. My decision: 1st method,LYN still no people try it. Or already have people success on this method, share your experience.(frozzbyte, you punya apa macam? 2nd method, I don't wish to downgrade my BL to 3.9. QUOTE(feizaiII @ Mar 15 2008, 10:58 AM) well, after i go thru every tutorial, this is the summary. That is not true. Downgrading bootloader is definitely optional and only used to enable the GoogleMap Locate function (doesnt worth it). QUOTE(feizaiII @ Mar 15 2008, 10:58 AM) In order to convert to 1.1.4 firmware.. only 2 method i can choose. so what's your choice now? hehehe...1. Unlock 1.1.4 and Downgrade to 3.9-fakeblank iPhone Bootloader 2. Unlock 1.1.2-1.1.4 iPhones with ZiPhone 2.5 GUI (Windows) if wanna use iPlus, heard that iPlus 2.1 is on its way. so for lowering risk of stability (maybe la, i dunno if it get prob) better wait for that version. if wanna use ZiPhone, use 2.6. hehehe...btw most of people here will still use ZiPhone (and the iPhone sellers too) because it is a tried-and-tested method. but hey, iPlus comes with some bonuses. it also install BSD and the term fix. plus it activates AFC2. mmm...remember though that more apps will be ported to 1.1.4 in no time. thus if u wanna use new apps u need to update your firmware. but u can still install the older application version manually. depends on your needs. btw y so afraid to start now? maybe u afraid when u use ZiPhone, suddenly a software glitch makes it downgrade your bootloader. hohoho... still thinking about all possible consequences? dude u r so paranoid! QUOTE(ken_wickedboy @ Mar 15 2008, 01:58 AM) There shouldn't be much hardware failure issue going around. All you need is to make sure that everything works well at the point of purchase. Jailbreaking wouldnt be an issue either. Well I haven't visit any of my mobile service centers before cos all the phones that I have been using are still in tip top condition since theres no modding/jailbreaking involve. Aite, will gamble my RM2K+ in April then GET IT if you're not a frequent visitor to your mobile service center. |

Good morning ... errrr ... tengah hari everyone. Ok now comes the operation report. Slept at 5 last night experimenting.
1. Downgrade BL4.6 to BL3.9FB - SUCCESS 2. Restore to 1.1.4 with 04.04.05_G - SUCCESS 3. Jailbreak, Activate and Unlock (latest baseband) - SUCCESS 4. Manually restoring datas and mods - IN PROGRESS 5. Playing with my newly downgraded phone - ALWAYS hehehehehehe. Screenshot coming later. Need to do so testing. I've use ZiPhone, iPlus2.0b, iphone-tools 1.1.4a and eZiPhone just to test which one is better. Even modify the payload for iPlus so it won't install BSD and others (i Prefer telesphoreo). Mmmm ... for now better stick with ZiPhone if u just need to jailbreak and Activate as this is the easiest one and proven. iPlus and iphone-tools still have issues with jailbreaking and activating. Maybe later try again. One thing that i notice (and happend to nokia2003) is dat after all this i can straight use the phone and sms. No need to apply apsupport patch. Do u guys face this or u never tested and straight install the patch? OK ... time to experiments again. |

white mice oso can la ... if no one try then how to know what problem arise from this and help others right? kiasukiasi ... ur on 1.1.4 right? Got few questions ... i tot the apps should be in /private/var/mobile or izzit just the Library? Looks like appsupport fix is not for the phone os sms crash. Its for phone number matching. My bad ... still thinking 1.1.2 hehehehehehe. Need to upgrade my knowledge sumore. Telesphoreo is far superior than BSD subsystem so i recommend users if u just restore, use cydia telesphoreo rather than the OLD BSD subsystem. No need SUID or Term backspace issue fix. I can even change the password to SSH whereas if using BSD, the system would crash. One more thing i notice is that when i disable EDGE from bosspref (services don't work for me this time), the phone loss signal and wifi and return back after finish disabling (take like 1-2 secs). This don't happen on 1.1.2 using services. No problem so far ... the battery seems to improve. 1% battery depleted within 6 hours of standby. Ok ... thats the initial findings.

QUOTE(frozzbyte @ Mar 15 2008, 12:29 PM) izzit the Cydia or other package manager?Added on March 15, 2008, 1:08 pmoww...got the answer already on your next post. btw i've informed that installing Cydia will also install the Fake-BSD thingy and it will rub the BSD Subsystem, so apps in Installer.app that requires BSD Subsystem will still works. mmm...maybe trying this on my next restore (wanna cleanup summore, hehehe...). LaskarCinta ... if u have BSD in the first place, just install Cydia. It will handle everything to delete the old BSD. No need to install fake-BSD. U can't even find it anywhere.
The fake-BSD only appear in installer if u never install BSD before and install Cydia (telesphoreo). BSD fake is to fool apps that require the OLD BSD to function. Its just a symlink patch. I made it a habit to install any unix system file with Cydia rather than installer as Cydia provide a direct port from Debian (same as OS X) and with updated version. Other apps, installer is still the best. Added on March 15, 2008, 1:27 pmOso found a way to backup the installer source so no need to enter everysource everytime restore. Beat the hassle to put every source back in place. This post has been edited by frozzbyte: Mar 15 2008, 01:27 PM |
