To all the iPhone owners here, is it REALLY worth it to get an iphone despite the lack of feature and warranty issue in Malaysia?

sure, of course its worth it !

....  thats why we're posting so much in this forum  rclxms.gif

Hang on a minute .... whaddaya mean "lack of feature" ?
<Ein minuten bitte!>

It's probably THE MOST feature packed PHONE in the market right now....
Think of it as a UNIX-like machine in your pocket; with a great screen and a even greater user interface.

Hmm the only thing that is holding me back from joining the club is the warranty issue since theres nobody with the sufficient knowledge or technical skill that are able to repair the iPhone in Malaysia.

If lady luck is not on my side, my 2K+ would have been flush down the drain just like that cry.gif

There shouldn't be much hardware failure issue going around. All you need is to make sure that everything works well at the point of purchase. Jailbreaking wouldnt be an issue either.

GET IT if you're not a frequent visitor to your mobile service center.
*
Well I haven't visit any of my mobile service centers before cos all the phones that I have been using are still in tip top condition since theres no modding/jailbreaking involve. Aite, will gamble my RM2K+ in April then rclxm9.gif

Price : http://www.8bananas.com/products.html USD75 exclude shipping, tax and stuff.

Previously iPhone does not support A2DP for streaming wireless music from your beloved iPhone which kinda sarks since iPhone is "the best iPod ever created" & also a music phone. However with this bluetooh adapter, your nightmares are over smile.gif anyone planning to do a bulk on this? heh

I'm interested to buy this too. However, I am concern how it will affect the battery life. For now, most user said that they have to charge everyday, if use this, must drain battery a lot more. How i wish iphone battery is changeable so that can bring 2 around..lol

Yes battery is indeed an issue sad.gif i don't think the iPhone has enough juice to last till 5hour+ of pure music playback with that bluetooth adapter on it. It would even deplete faster if we include wifi surfing, email, sms, calls and music all at one time.

Apple News |  Singapore to Launch iPhone in September ?
Thursday, 20th March 2008, 11:03 am
Channel News Asia is reporting that Singapore Telecommunications Ltd is launching the Apple iPhone in September. They cite industry sources for this information.

"The news, if true, is positive for SingTel. Given iPhone's (appeal to consumers), we believe iPhone would lead to higher market share for SingTel. However, the impact on SingTel's bottom line should not be very significant given Apple's hard bargaining tendency and tough competition from StarHub," said DBS Vickers in a note to clients.

It is estimated that Singaporeans have bought at least 10,000 iPhones since the phone was launched in the US.

If the news is true, Singapore would be the first country in Asia to officially get the iPhone.

Guys, I might be getting an iPhone. My main concern is how the call quality and the speaker quality while playing music & videos perform? Is it good. Besides that, any other cons or problems about the iPhone that you might wanna share?
*
Speaker quality sucks big time cause its mono. Video playback is good depending on how you convert your movies smile.gif
Call quality should be good depending on your telco and area. You might wanna check THIS out for the speaker sound quality other than that, try not to bother the ah-beng reviewers smile.gif

gigi biru function for transferring music/vids are impossible since Apply discourage PIRACY, and about 5mp camera I don't think its coming anytime soon either since Apply emphasis on design and user experience via web surfing & multi touch screen rather than a camera phone. Video recording is possible since 3G video calling is basically "capturing vid" of urself "live" and sending em real time to the person whom your talking with.
