hi guys, last nite, before i switch off my iphone, usage & standby is 39min. Now in the office, i checked again here's

usage = 2hr 7min
standby = 1hr 13min

which means that even though ur iphone is switched off, its still running? normally, how do u guys exit an application? coz i usually press the home key. well, on average, my iphone last me about 1.5day. i wonder how long it last for u guys? my dopod D810 usually last me about 3-4days.

well, it should be able to last up to 2-3 days if you arent using it too much.

for sure you ll sms & make calls, but i guess you sometimes listen to music, and even watch videos & surf the internet.

and, i dont think that your dopod d810 has a 3.5 widescreen, and a 667mhz power mobile processor =)

are you sure you use both of them at the same rate of usage and the iPhone still turns out to lose its battery faster?

seriously i dont think so.

-------

i guess, you have stg which is always turned on or what,

which drains up your battery even faster. eg: ssh, wifi, birugigi, etc.

Need help! Due to some error, when I touch the SETTING button the screen went blank and idle. Uninstall many application and it still could not work. I decided to restore to firmware 1.1.1 (from 1.1.3).

After finished restoring, I saw an error message 1015 on iTune and without much thinking, I thought I failed and went to restore to firmware 1.1.2.

The restore completed and I am stuck at the first screen (Emergency Call) - what should I do next ?

I tried to restore to 1.1.1 but now iTune does not come out with the RESTORE button anymore and just says that my SIM is not recognised (016).

Can anyone please show me what to do or which link could I get the answer ? This is the first time I am doing a restore and jailbreak/activation.

Thanks.

mmm...u can restore to other firmware by enabling restore mode first. u can do it via ZiPhone (Prepare For Upgrade button), and then iTunes will detect it in restore mode and u can now restore with other firmware. as for me, it's either 1.1.2 or 1.1.4, depends on what u need. relatively on 1.1.2 u'll find your iPhone to be more responsive compared to 1.1.1. on 1.1.4 u will get more features. just skip 1.1.3.

how to perform unlock? follow this link:

mmm...u can get ZiPhone from ZiPhone Webpage. happy unlocking!

if u wanna directy add the artwork using Get Album Artwork via iTunes, u need to have iTunes account first.

btw there's some script that u can use in iTunes to get album art via other sources.

or u can manually add the album artwork manually under Get Info > Artwork. the images can be searched using images.google.com or by using specific album cover search.

these might be useful:

TQ guys for the info. I spent an hour on the traditional method and ZiPhone just did it in less than 5 minutes and I got back 1.1.1. I think I am a bit greedy and I am going for 1.1.4. Once again, THANK YOU rclxm9.gif

Yeah...most of us use BossPrefs.

If your battery draining problem persists, just restore your phone. It'll be faster than uninstalling apps one by one to test. After you restore, dont simply install apps.....just get those that you need.

bosspref covers alot of the services in iphone ..
including SSH here.. you just need to to go the settings and enable them for preview on the main page.
anyway, SSH is turned off by default .. unless you turn it on before and forgot to turn off .. it's OFF by default...

OMG 'birugigi" hahaha .. reminds me of muatturun,kayu ria ... and lots more .. hahaha

To completely exit an application, hold down Home button till the app closes. For example, if you do this onto Safari, the next time you open it, it won't load the last website that you went to.

icic. when we transfer photo to iphone, does it convert to the iphone size or original size? coz i was playing with it, adding photo contact, and wallpaper, and when i enlarge and crop it, somehow i think that the quality is not that good anymore. so would it be better to resize in our pc 1st then upload them?

iTunes will do some minor editting/resizing to it so that it will fit into your iPhone without taking too much space. If you notice, on iPhone, there's a limit of how much you could zoom before the details are lost while on your PC, you could zoom all the way.

rite. no wonder. i think its better to edit the wallpaper from the pc 1st, that way its more clear. but was afraid that it will be edited once i sync with itune.

Added on April 18, 2008, 1:28 pmyah, forgot to mentioned, i just installed the sound boost for 1.1.4, makes no difference really. ringtone is still that crappy. guys, are ur ringtone soft and sounds like broken? i was wondering if i use 256kbps would sound clearer, and also increase the volume when converting. rather disappointed with iphone's ringtone not being sharp and loud.

customize, anyone installed this on 1.1.4? coz it says only support up to 1.1.3. or u guys are using summerboard?
