I've been using dual shock style controller for many years and recently I bought xbox 360 wired controller and I really find that the placement of analog stick, button, and trigger is better and more comfortable. Take a while to get familiar with it and you'll be fine. ... and since dual shock era which is like more than 10 years ago analog has become more popular than the d-pad...

So I guess, I decide it already. I'll buy this controller. This is the most expensive I ever spent for a single controller, and second time buying the analog one. Before this, I used non-analog one that has dual-controller for a single usb and latest is one the Blaze-brand name (which is had analog that I never used).
I'll go for the wired (maybe, ) if the price range around 100+-. And like I said like in previous post, I don't really mind about. The price different is about half, compared to the wireless one, but again, I do not sure about that yet.
I've read several opinion stated that the wireless one is better because of the weight comes when the battery inserted. They said it gives more feel and feedback when it vibrates, which is not effect me, I guess. (I only playing PES 2009 at the moment. PES don't have the vibration in it) And the heavier the controller, more confortable, is it right?
I also thought maybe playing with something wireless-ly, especially the wireless controller, it looks cool , . I don't know, just guessing that.
So what do you think, guys? Wired or wireless?

1st: what's your budget? 2nd: is cable management an issue? 3rd: do you account for the extra battery cost if go wireless? Think carefully before you purchase, and never regret on which you bought. Happy gaming

About the budget, I guess don't really mind.
Cable management. So far, yes, I have many wires comes from my pheripherals like controller, handphone charger, earphone, LAN cable, USB from my external harddisk, mouse+keyboard, monitor, power supply, speaker. And worse case is my extension in on my table.
For extra cost because I need extra rechargable battery, also don't mind.
P/S What I want to state here, the cost is not my issue. But the controllers. Which one has more comfort, more performance, for long plays of gaming. I usually playing PES every hour I free in weekdays. And for weekend (for not-busy-weekend), I play about 10 hours, maybe more. Added on September 7, 2009, 10:38 amQUOTE(TMTANWHACKY @ Sep 7 2009, 10:26 AM) can the wired controller (pc version) be plugged into the xbox360? From what I've read, YES. No problem.
This is what I can conclude for you.. For PC version, no problem to play with your XBOX 360. But XBOX 360 version, need extra receiver (for wireless controller) and extra driver (for wired controller) to play with your PC.This post has been edited by toomanyrulez: Sep 7 2009, 10:38 AM

QUOTE(hilmiangah @ Sep 7 2009, 10:47 AM) bout the driver,u only need it for windows XP. Vista just plug and play. YES, that's right. Only for XP. Not sure about Windows 7. Maybe same with the Vista one. Because the Vista already have the program, like XBOX 360 did, since the controller existed in Vista-era. And I believe this is a part Microsoft business-strategy plan. Added on September 7, 2009, 11:16 amSo guys, is it okay for me getting rm100 XBOX 360 wired controller? Is it normal? Not too cheap? I am a little bit aware about the cheap product than the normal one I knew.
What is the cheapest price of the wireless controller and where should I get it. I am currently in Perlis.
I understand the price for the wireless is a bit high because of the receiver included. For now, my preference is a bit lean toward the wireless one. This post has been edited by toomanyrulez: Sep 7 2009, 11:20 AM

Let say I already have the wireless one. And I want to buy another wireless controller. So how come I want to buy it without receiver? Or I just buy the original X360 controller?
You know what I mean..

You know what I mean.. Let's c whether I'm correct in interpreting ur post.... Assuming u already hav the wireless controller + receiver, if u need a 2nd controller for Player 2, then just buy another wireless controller..... The receiver can support up to 4 controllers at one time..... Refer to this link -> http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox3...gamingreceiver/

No, there is no need for any driver for WIRED controller to be used in Win7, it's plug & pray play. I know because I'm using one on Win7 RC. And to toomanyrulez, if you want to get wired one, I bought mine OEM/1 month warranty for RM70, if you can get original for RM100 I'll say worth it as retail price should be RM149. It seems like toomanyrulez is going to wireless This post has been edited by TitaniumZ: Sep 7 2009, 11:56 AM

I assumed that I already have the wireless+receiver for the first buy. I played a lot PES 2009 with my brother. So maybe I need the second one later.
So how to get the wireless controller without receiver? What I'm thinking right now is when buying the wireless controller, we'll get the receiver as well, whether we need it or not. Is it correct? Maybe it's something about inertia, like previous post stated. I guess I'll get the wireless one, huhu. Want to try something new to me, wireless device. Looks cool, can show it to my friends.
So, what about the price, I meant the current price, is it still 200+- ringgit? This post has been edited by toomanyrulez: Sep 7 2009, 12:51 PM
